"Unfortunate that 3 of the upstairs bedrooms had to share one bathroom, the twin room having to walk through someone else’s bedroom to access. The twin and queen bunk bedrooms need some sort of closet, even a rack for hanging clothes. Other than that, a very nice house."

Large Home w/ Breathtaking Lake Michigan Views, Beach

"The property has stunning views of Lake Michigan and the walk to the beach was perfect for small children-no steep stairs. The kitchen was stocked with aluminum foil, Saran Wrap, garbage bags, dish soap, etc. There were plenty of towels (both bathroom and beach) for the entire family.The outdoor patio and grill area were large enough for our entire family to sit comfortably.Overall this property is a solid choice. My only complaint is there are no window coverings in the downstairs lower level bedrooms. This was a struggle in the evenings because the children were in the bedrooms and the sun doesn’t set until late. It was hard to make the room dark enough for them to get to sleep."

Charming Cottage, Private Lake MI Beach

"Absolutely perfect! Great layout (for us). Full view of Lake Michigan. Exceptionally clean and stocked with everything anyone could need--and it all looked brand new!! Everyone liked their bed except Grandpa--firm yet a bit too soft??? Great communication with host. Sandy Point Beach House continues to serve delicious meals just a quick drive down the hill. Not that anyone has control over this, but this is the widest beach in any rental area that we've found--most areas have lost a lot of beachfront in the past several years.As listed in the description, this is NOT an ADA accessible place, and also could possibly pose minor difficulty getting into the house (up 5-8 stairs, depending which entrance). I would point out to the owner or managing company that there needs to be an adjustment made to the level of the ground at the base of the rear stairs...either fill dirt or a wooden platform. For those who aren't particularly agile, there IS a way to get to the beach without crossing the dunes (which we knew from previous experience at a neighboring house)--but it does involve stair-climbing (on the best laid-out stairs...you get a breather platform every 2-3 steps!), plus a walk around the next-door play area and canal boardwalk. Grandma could go down the 1st dune, and then cut over using the path, but used the "safer route" going back up; Grandpa used the safe route to go down and up; kids used dunes down and up. We are definitely coming back!"

Cottage with Private Lake Access! Short distance to town

"The cottage has a lot of charm and a great Lake Michigan setting. The private beach access, views, sunsets, water quality, and water pressure were all excellent. The appliances were newer and everything we needed functioned properly, so from a practical standpoint the place worked well for our stay.That said, the home is definitely older than the listing photos may suggest. It has an old-cottage feel, and there was a noticeable mothball smell when we arrived. I found myself liking it because everything seemed to work just right, but, it was dated and a little musty, but also comfortable, functional, and in a beautiful location.....hardest review I have ever written. It won't disappoint, it is just an older house squeezed into a smaller property.Overall, if you are expecting a newer or freshly updated rental, this may not be the best fit. But if you are okay with an older Lake Michigan cottage that has good appliances, great water pressure, private beach access, and a peaceful setting, it can still be a very enjoyable stay."

"Great place, and a great time! Very clean, within walking distance to the beach! Was happy that we could bring our dog, and not be restricted by size! Not far from Holland, and other nearby areas. Definitely one we will look to rent again."
