We had reservations for 5 days and we left after 2 nights. The blankets are paper thin, are too small for the bed, and they smell like cigarettes, as do all the linens. The bathroom floods with the shower and stays flooded for 12+ hours. There's no central air, which is fine, but the air conditioner in the room blows directly on one of the beds. I was so cold, that I put my beach towel on top of the blanket so I wouldn't freeze quite as much. It was 47° c outside, too hot to turn the air conditioner off.
After the first night we decided we could not stay there for 5 days so we booked another hotel at the end of the first day and checked out the following morning.
Most of the staff are great, they're very kind. The woman at the front desk seems indifferent, not unkind. Just like she doesn't care if anybody stays there or not.
The whole situation was unfortunate. We really wanted to love this place, it has great potential and it's really cute. But I cannot stay in a place where I'm breathing cigarette smoke, freezing, and walking through standing water every time we go to the bathroom because one of us showered in the last 12 hours.
We knew we would not get a refund for The three days we were not there. It was still worth it for us to move hotels.
