This is the ideal place for staying in Kyoto. Convenient to the Palace, shopping, and Gion. We have stayed at over a dozen accommodations in Japan and this is by far our favorite. Perfect for more independent travelers since it is more like having your own apartment than a traditional hotel. We will stay here again!

A great stay, almost perfect

Everything was great, the only thing that we didn't care for was the check in process at Kyoto station then to another office. The shuttle took us directly to hotel and from then on, everything was perfect, staff, room, cleanliness, and right in the heart of the city.

The room and location was absolutely perfect but the check in process being offsite and poorly organised gave a terrible first impression. The communication was over the top. Far too many emails that weren’t necessary.

Staff here was excellent incredibly accommodating they helped us with our luggage, which is imperative when you’re traveling from multiple cities. At the front desk, however they also have one of the best teas that Japan has to offer that they brew themselves in-house on the daily.

We stayed in the Japanese style suite. Great amount of space for a family of four. The shower room converts into a clothes dryer, which was amazing to me. Two private toilets and a small kitchen. Safe and key required to access premises. Highly recommended.

Peaceful Family Base in the Heart of Kyoto The Room: We stayed with our two children (12 and 8) and found the space perfect. The room features two large double beds and a sofa, but the highlight was the beautiful Sagano bamboo forest theme—decorated in light greens, whites, and neutral tones. It was exceptionally clean, and the entire room felt almost brand new. The Amenities: The room is well-equipped for a family stay with a mid-size fridge, kettle, microwave, and a handy kitchenette area. The bathroom is huge, featuring a dedicated sink/mirror area and a separate wet room with a shower and a deep bathtub that felt quite luxurious. Another major highlight was the washer-dryer. Being our second week in Japan, we really needed to do some laundry. I used AI (translation tools) to guide me through the Japanese interface, and it worked perfectly to get the kids' clothes washed and dried in one go. The Location: The central location was ideal. It’s close to two main bus routes, with a train station only a short walk further away. It offered the best of both worlds: we were central enough to explore the city easily, yet tucked away from busy roads and crowds, providing a peaceful retreat after a day of sightseeing. The Service & Check-in: A quick note on the process—you check in at the company’s office near Kyoto Station, rather than at the hotel itself. Very quiet area. Many restaurants nearby that don't show up on google maps. It is a little bit of a walk to the subway lines. A/C worked good. It had two toilets which was nice and a kitchen.
