Comfortable room. Just a few minutes walk from JR Kyoto Station. Limited staff hours but that was not a problem. Easy check in check out. Clean and quiet.
It was a fantastic experience as we prefer simple and basic services. Given the prime location, relatively spacious room, it is a real bargain to stay.
The hotel had big rooms and was close to Kyoto station and was quiet. I would have liked if it had a washing machine available but they did provide a folder with information on the closest laundromats.
Very new and clean. A little longer to walk from the rain station though. Staffs are friendly n check in and check out is easy. Check out timing at 10am is a little earlier than most hotel, no laundry facilities is one downside of the hotel.

Basic budget Kyoto hotel
This is definintely a budget stay location. A short walk from the train station once you know where you are going. The rooms are smallish and basic and not that comfortable, although the automated access process may suit some travellers.
Beds were a little form for our liking and the pillows insubstantial making the sleep quality not the best.
The location is a little awkward from the station unless you get the right exit and it feels a little isolated to much of what is happening in Kyoto.
This property is in a quiet neighborhood situated only a few blocks from Kyoto Station. The entrance is small and looks like a small convenience store, and was a little hard to find. The staff saw us struggling and came to our aid. It was too early to check in so we stored our luggages which they later brought to our room. The hotel gave off vibes as a small family owned business with great service.
The building feels new and the amenities were complete. It more than exceeded my expectations. I would stay again given the location, cleanliness, service and amenities.
The light switch for the room should have been near the entrance of the room instead of near the bed.
Toilet paper and tissue paper is too thin. It’s so difficult to use as you need to fold many many times in order get enough paper to use.
Other than the above, the property is in a very convenient location, just about 10 mins walk from Kyoto station. It is very clean and has a reasonable price.
Will come here again
The only downside is they dont do cleaning on a daily basis unless you stay more than 4 days. Have to pack your own trash and put the towels outside in order to have fresh towels. 10-15minutes walk distance from the JR station. Need to key in password to enter at night hence it can he quite a hassle if you are stuck checking in after 6pm. No food or drinks in the vicinity if u need at night. Have to walk a distance in the cold to the nearest lawson which is 5-10mins away.
Very close to Kyoto train station. Laundry services just down the street. Many food option within walking distance and a 7-11 just a half of a block away.
Room was really cramp but clean with amenities provided efficiently Hachiyo San the receptionist was super friendly n helpful so it more than made it a very home away from home for our four nights in Kyoto
Automatic check in out of hours which was a bit off a faff when tired, but worked fine. Great room and toiletries, no room service to tidy up for but clean towels every day. Reception had a shop open until 6pm and a microwave with cutlery etc. Staff were friendly and helpful when we checked out. Located near the main station and 15 min walk from the underground, 7-11 very close.
This hotel is located a few blocks away from Kyoto station. It is very easy to find and there are multiple bus options around. Keep in mind that after a certain time in the evening there is no receptionist and you will need to check in via a tablet. There is no room key and they provide a code instead (to get into your room and the hotel after hours). There is a mini “store” on the first floor which you can purchase quick items while a receptionist is there. Overall a great experience. I would definitely book this hotel in the future.
Hotel is more spacious than most Japanese hotel. The shower and toilet area is separated which I like tremendously. I was given a room at level 10 and it gives a good view of Kyoto tower & Kyoto station. There’s a small convenience stall in the checkin reception running from 9am-6pm. They are price quite affordably.
Expedia website state the hotel will email me 5 days before my stay about checkin instructions but that didn’t happened. So you need to email the hotel to receive matters about checkin.
Otherwise all things are good.

Nice stay but checkin was not easy
The hotel looks new. The biggest problem I encountered was checking in. Not easy when I had to do it on my own after the receptionist had left for the day. After struggling for a while I got instructions via FaceTime/Zoom. Then I was asked to send a copy of my passport. I was shocked since I had done it two or three days prior. The hotel’s computer system was that slow?
Other than that the stay was fine. The room was relatively good-size and the hotel is conveniently located.
