"Nice hotel in a great location. Lovely rooms, very clean. Stayed a few times now and noticed a few maintenance issues this year both in the room and public areas. Breakfast very good but evening meal quality and choice seems to have gone downhill a little this time too. Won’t put me off returning but would like to see it return to its true 4 star status as it was a few years ago"

"The staff was excellent, attentive and well informed with local dining. Overall the hotel is very clean. However, there is an odor in the rooms, reminiscent of pets. Both of our rooms had such an odor. Since we don’t have pets it was obvious. For those that do, it is good to know they are very welcome."

"In a very good yet quiet location. Excellent staff. We were made to feel extremely welcome and the proprietor gave us a map of the city and explained where everything of Interest could be found. The rooms exceeded my expectations. The beds were comfortable with crisp linen and whilst it was quite basic accommodation, it had everything needed for a couple of nights. The bathroom was quite large and had a powerful shower. You may want to take your own toiletries though. Good WiFi. Downstairs...

The bathroom is tiny with the hand basin sitting over part of the toilet so if you are a little larger it's a tight fit. Check in is a machine and ended up having to call for assistance as there was no room assigned to my booking. Next issue was it checked me in and provided a room card but no indication of which room! "Fantastic stay! We arrived at our room at nearly 2am due to traveling. It was World Cup finals night and people were still partying in the streets, but you could not hear a thing from the room. Completely quiet for sleep! All of our check-in details were completed via email so we were able to access the hotel and room without needing assistance.
