"The grounds and building are excellent. Very clean and modern. Rooms are comfortable and have great amenities. Beds, linens and sheets/towels are nice as well. Beware, the standard rooms have NO view or deck area. They literally back onto a fairly busy walkway, which is your view. To upgrade, the cost is quite high. For the next level upgrade (Junior Suite) we paid $1400CAN for 6 nights. Food was decent, the buffet was repetitive after 10 days. Some of the dishes that should have been warm or hot were not. The menu items were prepared fresh and definitely were better. Same with the breakfast....buffet was decent, menu items were much better. Drinks were all over the place. They had Dos XX on tap and many types of low grade hard alcohol. Mixed drinks were a crap shoot, unless you ordered something very simple. They had no drink menu, but I think that would be helpful so that the bartenders could all be trained to make drinks the same way. Staff was similar to most places. Some good, some ok, some indifferent. We had a couple of experiences where we sat first, but were served/waited on after local couples were sat after us. This happened more than once. We also had to help ourselves to menus a few times while staff were talking amongst themselves and/or on their phones. Cleaning staff were excellent however! All in all, a solid 3.5. For the original price we paid, plus the upgrade, the value just wasn't there. For our all in price, better choices exist."

"This is a pretty hotel. Very large. The beaches are wonderful, especially for children. The room was a good size. The Club room was nice to have. The staff if very friendly and attentive. Probably the best staff of any All Inclusive that I have been to. I really only have a few concerns. Check in took a long time. Only two people checking in people. The pool is a good size but few chairs. My biggest complaint is the food. I understand that All Inclusive food is never great. So my expectations are low. But the restaurants are bad, especially the Mexican and the Seafood. (Whoever thought coconut encrusted shrimp and meat was a good idea should be fired.) The steakhouse wasn’t bad. Surprisingly the buffet actually had the best food. But still not great. Simple food prepared properly is all I ask for. I don’t need extravagant food cooked poorly. Even though we really enjoyed the hotel I am not sure I would return. "

"This is a really nice smaller resort. Two pools. Landscaping is lovely. Location couldn’t be better. There are 7 restaurants there but a special call out to the lunch bar on the 2bd floor. The food was exceptional! Town is really close. A cab ride away for 50 pesos. A terrific town with a pretty town square and lots of bars, restaurants and shopping. Heads up! It’s very hot and humid. Bring your hat and sunscreen. Overall, I Highly recommend the resort. It would be nice to have a small refrigerator in the rooms for cold drinks and light snacks. There is a Chedraui store within walking distance to buy a styrofoam cooler and the hotel has generous with ice. But it’s not the same. We were in the newer wing and there wasn’t a place in the shower to put your personal care products."

"My room was perfect in every sense. The air conditioning kept it fresh. The king size bed was super comfortable and the pillows too. Honestly my stay here was completely worth it! "

"It was an okay place to stay for a few nights. Most people working here are really nice and helpful. Beds were quite hard and the bedding is not especially comfortable. We moved rooms because they were doing renovations including the roof and pool and it was loud. I would recommend a garden view because it is pretty, and more quiet than the pool and road facing rooms. Food was fine if you’re not picky. They play old music videos for entertainment at the one restaurant, but there is some live music in the lobby later on. Great location if you want to explore, with easy access to the marina, and there is a nearby path to walk and check out the town. The beach at the club is a quick walk if you don’t want to wait for the shuttle. The beach is not very swimmable and the pool is busy and not very relaxing. Overall we found it good value due to the location and people."

"I cannot think of anything that could have made our vacation more perfect. It was my husband and I with our three children and their families - 13 of us in total. The way the rooms are set up each family had their own suite. It was like a 5 star all inclusive but we rented the entire resort! The staff treated us like royalty. Flora prepared 3 wonderful meals a day for us. She was accommodating to all of our food restrictions and made sure there was always something for the kids. Grisel is a beautiful person inside and out and was so attentive to our needs. Plus she makes great Margarita’s! I tell you, it was hard to leave this royal lifestyle behind . . A person can get pretty used to being spoiled. I would liked to have brought Grisel, Flora, and Emelia home with me. They do not speak English, so Google Translate worked well for communicating. The location of the villa is great. It is like having your own private place in an ocean side jungle. The pool area is awesome, the beach was fun (would not recommend swimming in the ocean though - Grisel said it would not be safe). The ocean breezes were lovely and took the edge off of the heat. Lots of outdoor lounging areas to just relax and enjoy. Again, it was a perfect family vacation and I would highly recommend this property to anyone wanting to go to Huatulco with a large number of people. With 13 of us there was still one room we did not use."
