Arenal Paradise Home - Wildlife Paradise!

Picture yourself surrounded by NATURE, wildlife right next to you: sloths, iguanas & much more. Two creeks around the property, fruit trees, private pool area, barbecue area plus a wonderfully comfortable home just waiting for your family. We have 4 bedrooms & 3 bathrooms with air conditioning throughout the house (Bedrooms, living room and kitchen areas), fully equipped kitchen, Smart TV with IPTV, WIFI (50 megabytes/Optical fiber), safety deposit box, bed linen and towels.

This property is very private and secluded, where you can enjoy nature just 3 minutes drive from downtown La Fortuna.

Air conditioning throughout the house (Bedrooms, living room and kitchen areas), you will be able to relax and cool off after your daily adventures or keep it cool if you want to hang out in the house.

Bedroom 3: Full size bed and A/C unit.

We have an agreement with Noah's Forest by Tikafara, it is located next to the property and they will be glad to help you during your stay, you can get:

- Free Wildlife Tour at 12 PM, where you can see some wildlife around the property (People must book at least 1 day before).

- Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner services in their restaurant with previous reservation (Extra charge).

- 50% Discount in the Frog Tour in Tikafara Boutique Hotel.

- Free coffee, tour desk and tourist information about the area in Noah's Forest Front Desk.

Once you book the property, we will send you all the information about it.

La Fortuna is located in the rainforest, we can have rain at any time of the year, most of the time we have nice, sunny mornings and rain in the afternoons which make it very humid, so we always recommend comfortable clothing, water, raincoat and a mosquito repellent.

Amazing!

Wow what a beautiful property. The grounds are just stunning. We felt like we were in the middle of the jungle. Saw several sloths, some really pretty birds, a few exotic frogs, lots of interesting insects, a variety of lizards, no monkeys unfortunately for us. The pool was a huge hit for my kids. The bridge to get to the pool, so cool. The creek on the property made everything feel that much more serene and in the middle of nowhere even though you’re really not. The house itself was simple and clean.Noahs Forest just down the road was awesome. The staff there were so friendly and incredibly helpful. They helped us book all our tours and the live music at their restaurant was great. The food was top notch too. Customer service was amazing, so quick to respond if we had an issue. Couldn’t ask for better service. The location was great, local town was just down the road. Grocery stores, restaurants, shopping, all easy to get to. Overall highly recommend this place, we loved it, and would absolutely come back!

Wildlife galore!

We loved our stay. The house was perfect for us. It was very clean, the beds were comfortable, AC cooled each room and the general areas very nicely. Bathrooms and the kitchen both had hot water. The dryer isn’t there anymore, but we just used the clothes line. The pool was always clean and a great depth for my kiddos. Outside was full of wildlife with over 36 bird species, including a pair of spectacled owls. A guide pointed out four sloths in the trees! I saw male and female basilisks, iguanas in the trees, all sorts of insects, and a few frogs/toads. We were there during cicada season and we loved hearing the bug choir. There’s leaf cutter ants on the property and we had enjoyed watching their lines of ants. A special shoutout to Carlos from the Home Vacations team who helped set up tours or any concerns we had. He’s really friendly and so helpful! A couple of downsides: The lot across from the property has been cleared and has major construction all day every day. Many rural areas around La Fortuna are being developed. The other downside is the property is no longer owned by Lorenzo and his family, but was sold to Noah’s Forest hotel. Sloth tours were led on the property by friendly guides for people staying in other Noah’s forest properties and we had the option of joining with 24 hours notice. We weren’t thrilled to see groups of strangers wandering around the yard, sometimes without guides.

Peaceful retreat near all the action

The property is located on the edge of town so was quiet yet convenient to all activities. The park-like yard was bordered by a steam and drew in birds of every color. A ripened bunch of bananas in the tree kept them busy for days. Much to our delight we even spotted a sloth! The pool was clean and refreshing after a hot day adventuring and the whole house a/c was much appreciated. Beds and linens were comfortable. Communication was great. I

Nice stay

Property was nice overall. It rained all 3 days we were there. We had a 4x4 so easy to access the driveway - but it could be a problem if you don't have one. We struggled with getting information on how to check-in. We arrived at 2 am and host asked us to call 30 minutes prior to arrival and meet for keys. We did work out a way to get directions and access to the property without having to meet up, but it was difficult. The restaurant just down the road was very good and the location is very close to town. We did not use the pool - weather wasn't great - but I don't think we would have used it even in better weather.

Beautiful property tucked away from the city.

We came for new years and the city was very very busy. This house was a nice retreat to get away from the crowds. The beds were not great. Advertised washer and dryer is just a washer and you air dry. Would have been fine but it rained everyday. Had to pay the hotel to wash and dry our clothes.We did see a sloth, toucan and parrots. The sloth lives in the trees by the creek and spotted him everyday. The house is owned by a hotel Nextdoor and they have a fantastic restaurant with live music and great bartenders.

Home in the Jungle

Loved this place! Liked how we felt in the jungle but were very close to town. We did see two sloths on our property, but someone had to point them out to us. Love drinking coffee on the porch and listening to the running river. So many local restaurants and shops. I would recommend the local market on the corner for fresh fruits and veggies and we loved the coffee shop next door.

Wonderful Home

We really enjoyed our stay here. We learned that the home was recently purchased by a nearby resort hotel but the property management company remained the same. They were very responsive to our few questions. The home feels secluded but is close to amenities. We enjoyed having our morning coffee on the back porch and watching all the birds attack the bananas and papayas we put out each morning. Loved this home!

Arenal stay

It was a great location. Great to be outside and yet very close to the town La Fortuna. Loved the pool, it was a great way to cool off from the day. Loved having fruit place on the branch so that we could watch birds while sipping our morning coffee. Very comfortable, very clean. The owner was eccessible which was very nice. Nice to be close to restaurants and many adventures. I would return and recommend this home as a great place to stay.

Wonderful Property

This house is beautiful and made us feel safe and welcome on our first overseas vacation. The owner helped us find sloths in the trees and left fruit out by the patio for the birds which made our mornings even more peaceful.

Beautiful stay in paradise

We had a lovely week staying in this beautiful home. Communication was easy, Lorenzo was very attentive and we enjoyed watching the birds feeding on the fruit he put out each day. He helped us spot the sloths and we saw poison dart frogs, loads of birds, iguana and even an armadillo! The management company were very helpful in organising excursions. We would definitely stay again!

Great location!

We loved our stay at Arenal Luxury Paradise! Lorenzo put out bananas in the morning to attract beautiful birds that we could watch on the back porch. Only regret not asking him to put them out every morning :) The home is very clean. The location is great. The property is beautiful. Would absolutely stay here again.

Paradise Found

This property is absolutely beautiful. The photos and description were accurate. Someone met us at the entrance of the road that the property sits on to be sure we found our way with no problems. The house is spacious, clean, quiet and the comfortable. The kitchen is appropriately stocked for cooking and dining in. The outdoor area around the house is stunning. Including, several covered patios, two creeks, a covered picnic table and BBQ. The private pool was clean and a great place to relax and cool off. Lorezno (the grounds keeper) put fresh fruit out near the back patio in the mornings so we could enjoy watching a variety of birds nibble on them while we sipped our coffee in the rocking chairs. He also found a couple sloths that hang out in the trees on the property for us to see! We wished we could have stayed many more days and hope to return someday and enjoy the house and all that La Fortuna has to offer. We highly recommend this property.

Wow

This place did not disappoint!!! It was absolutely amazing. The birds were beautiful and we even got to see the resident sloth that lives on the land! Lorenzo found him and made sure to let us know where he was! Also, the pineapple that Lorenzo left for us was devoured by my 3 teenagers is about 30 seconds because it was so sweet!! If you’re looking for a house to stay in, this one is perfect!!! My kids all had their own room and the location was perfect!

Amazing oasis

What an amazing place to stay and feel immersed in the rainforest while close to town! Beautiful home and property with so many birds, and a sloth that Lorenzo found for us to see on the last day! The kids loved the pool and watching the birds! Thank you for such a lovely time!

AMAZING!

Our stay in the house was great. The house is tucked back from the road and behind a gate. The property is gorgeous. Lorenzo, the owner, made sure we did not miss the two sloths in the trees! He also set out fruit so we had a bunch of cool birds visit every day. The bird calls are amazing to wake up to. The house itself is clean and spacious. We enjoyed the creek views, the outside spaces, and the pool. There's a great restaurant at the top of the street that is really easy for a quick meal. Also, Don Juan chocolate/coffee tours is right up the road and is really fun. The House of Tours agents who manage the property set us up with less expensive tickets to several places. Our favorite was the zipline day that included a pass to Los Lagos resort. I highly recommend this location. Thanks Lorenzo, Carlos, and Alan! Pura vida!!

Fantastic Home in Nature!

Our family of 8 adults absolutely loved this Air B&B! From the moment we arrived, Lorenzo and his family made our stay Pura vida! Eder met us at their office downtown and guided us to the home, about 20-25 minutes from town. Lorenzos’s wife made us a traditional Costa Rican cosada dinner the first night we arrived and it was delicious and plentiful! We loved this location and often walked into town. There were also 2 good restaurants on our road and day and night hikes close by. We used the house pool to cool off after hiking or exploring La Fortuna area daily. We cooked many meals at the house and it was well equipped with house necessities. The grounds at the house were spectacular! We saw so much wildlife. Every morning, we watched the many beautiful birds and butterflies as we had our coffee. We saw sloths, iguanas and many frogs. We felt totally safe at this location. We enjoyed having Lorenzo and his family close by and they were quick to help us when anything was needed. We highly recommend this beautiful clean home. Thank you Lorenzo and family for making our holiday so special!

Amazing place

Loved everything about this place! Location was ideal! Close enough to everything, yet far enough away! Beautiful and well-kept property! Highly recommend! I would definitely come again! Property manager was always available and answered any and all of my questions. Very convenient to book excursions through them too!

Lovely Home Close to Town

We spent 4 nights at this convenient property with our two children, 20 and 17, before heading to The Springs. The home is extremely clean & feels very secluded. Beautiful area in the backyard to sit and relax and watch the birds! We loved having coffee out there every morning! On 2 nights we had Lorenzo‘s wife make us dinner, and it was amazing. So much food & very tasty! Communicating was funny since our Spanish is not very good, and their English the same.😂 We made it work though, and everybody had a good laugh! The one small issue we had was there is no clothing dryer & I didn’t notice that on the listing (totally my fault!). The washing machine is unlike anything I’ve ever seen before and was difficult to use. After that we hung all of our clothing up on the line and it just never dried completely & had a weird smell. Ended up having to use a drop off laundry service and Fortuna, which worked out, but was a bit inconvenient & cost us $50. Overall, wonderful home & great experience!!

Beautiful escape in perfect location

This was our first time in La Fortuna and Lorenzo’s place is an absolute gem we will recommend to everyone. You’re very close to the city center for groceries and daily adventures, but secluded enough that you feel like you have the rainforest to yourself. My kids woke up every morning so excited to see the fruit Lorenzo set out for the birds. We sat on the backyard rocking chairs for a lot of the time watching the wild life and birds. The pool is perfection and we swam in it daily :). The kitchen is fully supplied and the home is cozy, safe, and large. It was perfect for our family of five. We spent three nights here and could’ve spent more. Check in was great - Lorenzo speaks Spanish, but he’s hired someone who speaks English to show the home and answer any questions. They also were able to get us discounted tickets to all of our tours - night walk, chocolate tour, etc. So nice!! We were able to do laundry, too, which we were so grateful for. If you’re lucky enough to book this home - you will truly enjoy your stay.

Nature in the yard

This is a very simple home with nature surrounding it. We saw every kind of bird and sloths in the trees on the property. An Iguana made an appearance as well. The home is somewhat hard to find for taxi's but we used the Mary's BBQ restaurant nearby as the marker and this helped. We found many great places to eat in and near La Fortuna. The Home Vacations was excellent to communicate with and book excursions with. The staff was very helpful and available for us. We experienced a lot of rain but the temperatures still remained pleasant and we still were able to get out and and do many adventures. This home stay made us live the Costa Rican lifestyle and was a different way of doing things but we enjoyed the experience.

Arenal Home

The home was large clean and was beyond our expections! The owner of the home lives next door and came by in the mornings to put out fresh fruit for the birds (toucans)! The location was close to town, yet very private. It was my wife and I, our daughter and her husband plus 2 kids and my wife's mother...plenty of room! Highly recommend this property to vacationers!

Perfect for families

We stayed here for 5 nights on a family vacation with my husband, myself, our two kids (5yo and 21M), my sister, and my mom. The property is gorgeous and clearly loved by the owners. The house was spotless and came equipped with everything we needed for our stay. Lorenzo came.and showed us sloths in the trees multiple times and we had fun going on "sloth hunts" at night with our headlamps (bring a super strong flashlight with you if you want to see them!). He also came out and hung bananas on a stick out back in the morning and we saw tons of beautiful birds come to eat. The communication from booking to checkout was great. The pool is the perfect size for little kids (my very tall 5yo could almost.touch the entire length of the pool). And the La Fortuna area in general has a lot to do. We also ordered dinner multiple nights from Lorenzo's wife who brought it over to us and I HIGHLY recommend it. It was some of the best food we had the whole trip and was great after a day out. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.
