Incredible…from start to finish. The staff is so helpful, so friendly. We made friends with every staff member there haha! The restaurant has very good food. The pools were perfect, the gym was cool. Just an all around great experience. Definitely stay here! The view of the volcano from the restaurant is breathtaking.

It's a beautiful property with some very nice pools and enough foliage that you can see quite a few critters right inside. It is right adjacent to a river but you don't actually have access to the river which is fenced. The staff was very helpful and seemed to be able to handle most special requests.

A Wonderful and Stunning Stay – Highly Recommend! We had a truly wonderful experience at Hotel Boutique Casa del Rio and would definitely go back. The grounds are absolutely stunning, and the rooms were exceptionally clean and comfortable. The staff here is wonderful—they were incredibly helpful and consistently went above and beyond to make our stay special. The massages we got at the spa were amazing. The drinks were excellent, and the food was very good. Our only minor suggestion for the menu is that we wish they would list out the ingredients for each dish. We loved everything about this place and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fantastic getaway!

Gorgeous safe and peaceful resort with many amenities near downtown! We didn’t have enough time to use all amenities but just walking around the lush garden was enough for us. Private hot tub was a plus! Every thing was great from the check-in with cold fresh coconut treat to daily yummy breakfast choices. The spa service is a must as well. I wish I could stay longer than 2 nites.

The property was clean and staff very nice!! The restaurant on site was delicious!! The only downside of the property that I didn’t know about until arrival is your car has to stay parked up front by the check in area. So you have to walk or call up front for a ride. Also ordered room service due to heavy rain and was charged $8 for delivery and you don’t find out until about the charge until they deliver it. Other than that we enjoy the property!

Very great experience. Room was very clean and spacious. Hotel Area was surrounded by nature and greenery and felt more like a luxury resort/ Wellness retreat. The location of the hotel was very safe with a gate and key card restriction. Staff was very accommodating and spoke English. Any issues I had were resolved instantly. Everything was so convenient. The hotel’s location was not far from tours/restaurants in town. Plenty of amenities and a restaurant was on sight with free breakfast during my stay the restaurant wait staff made my birthday so special and we’re very kind and friendly. Tours were booked through hotel staff (upon request) with transportation and meals provided and airport transportation was also provided for my departure. I would recommend this place 100%

Even though we were very short on time, the breakfast was amazing, making something quickly so we could leave. The rooms were even more amazing, with a cute private balcony and a view! The staff made us feel like family. Would love to come again and have a room with a private pool.

Absolutely wonderful hotel! An amazing space that feels like staying in a rainforest but with all the amenities you could ask for. Hotel Boutique Casa del Río was one of the highlights of our Costa Rica trip! Nestled in the heart of the rainforest, the property is absolutely gorgeous and perfect for nature lovers. Our room was beautiful, and waking up to the soothing sound of the rushing river each morning was incredibly peaceful. Breakfast was delicious, with fresh tropical fruits, fresh juices, and a flavorful traditional Costa Rican breakfast. The view of the volcano from the restaurant in the morning was breathtaking. We also enjoyed dinner at the hotel, and the food was equally delicious and full of flavor. What truly made our stay exceptional was the service. The entire staff was friendly, welcoming, and genuinely eager to please, but Ramses and Maria deserve special recognition. They went above and beyond to ensure we had an amazing stay and were the true definition of exceptional customer service. This was honestly one of the best hotel service experiences I’ve had to date. Beautiful surroundings, delicious food, amazing views, and outstanding hospitality. I highly recommend Casa del Río and will definitely be back! 🌿🇨🇷

Very clean and quiet resort. It was huge with so many amenities. Our room looked exactly like the pictures. Only thing to note is the property is about a 15 minute walk from the main town with restaurants so be prepared for that if you did not rent a car.

As many folks have already mentioned, pictures do not do justice to this place. We stayed in a deluxe 2 bed villa and we loved it. Breakfast was very good as well. If hot springs is not a priority for your stay, this should be your go to hotel in La Fortuna area.
