"Penny and family couldn't be more kind and helpful. I arrived in a bit of a state as I had just had a minor accident with the rental car, whilst trying to park, and they were very gracious in helping me back to equilibrium. Sebastien, Penny's son, parked my car for me and helped me retrieve it at the end of my stay. Be aware that the roads in Banyalbufar are even more narrow than some of the other places on the island and the parking is exceptionally tight. I chose this hotel because I wanted a peaceful getaway with a big private tub. The room was exactly what I needed. The whirlpool jets weren't operational, but that didn't matter to me at all, as I prefer a simple soaking tub experience. The room was spotless, with a very comfortable bed, attractive decor, and the view was exceptional. I ate at the attached restaurant, and Fabio was very kind. The food was fresh and delicious. Bonus points for the dozen friendly cats that the owners care for and feed. They all looked sleek and happy, and I could tell they are well looked after. I highly recommend this lovely small hotel and restaurant and hope to return again. "

"The views are really breath-taking and the terraces are amazing. The reason for the 3 stars is what can only be described as sewer stench that permeates the entire house, especially penetrating in the master bedroom (lower floor), stairwell, dining room (upper floor). Even airing it out with all of the windows open did nothing to eradicate the intense Paris sewer smell. When I asked the property manager about it, she shrugged and told me, "it only happens when the wind hits just right". In reading back through other reviews, this has been an issue for a long time and the owner continues to ignore or downplay the extreme unpleasantness. If we weren't staying a short time, I would have moved to a different location. Also, we experienced power outages. Apparently, you can't use 3 burners and the washer and dryer at the same time. The master bathroom has ants and the tub is unusable due to lack of hot water plumbing to the tub. Don't forget the tourist tax of 1.10 euro in cash for those over 16 which we were not told about until late the night before our departure. The property manager was not very friendly and the owner was friendly via texting."

"Can’t recommend this spot enough. It was so quiet and peaceful away from the Valldemossa crowds. Easy parking, pool was pristine and the room was great! Felt like a resort for a few days. I miss it already!"

"Als Erstes muss man den grandiosen Blick erwähnen. Der Sonnenaufgang ist unbeschreiblich schön.Aber das wars dann mit den positiven Dingen. Größtes Manko: Keine Klimaanlage. Das steht zwar in der Beschreibung, war uns aber nicht klar.Keine Insektengitter, nur Moskitonetze über den Betten.Leider kann man abends kaum auf der Terrasse sitzen da dort Gelsen und Kriebelmücken (mosca nigra) sind. Wir hatten jeder mehr als 100 Stiche, trotz Schutz mit Kleidung und Insektenspray.Schade. Lüften daher auch schwierig....muss man aber weil es ja keine Klima gibt ....Für mich war das Haus im Sommer nicht zumutbar, in den Nebensaison kann das anders sein.Das Haus ist alt, ständig fällt Putz von der Decke. Die Bäder sind nicht zeitgemäß.Türen lassen sich nicht schließen,... Ja, sauber ist das Haus, aber nur auf den ersten Blick. Bei genaueren Hinsehen nicht, v.a die Kochutensilien, Töpfe,..Chips untern Bett,...Leider gibts dort Schlangen, wir hatten 2x eine Begegnung.Pool: leider weit weg vom Haus. Nur 3 Liegen beim Pool. *Poolservice ist sehr nett.*Check in/ out ist unkompliziert und gut.*Kommunikation mit Vermieterin: nett und schnell.Netter kleiner Ort, aber es ist überall hin weit.Es besteht dringender Renervierungbedarf und man merkt das in das Haus nichts mehr investiert wird.Wir können das Haus nicht empfehlen und haben unseren Urlaub , auf den wir uns schon so gefreut haben, nicht genießen können. "

"Group of six (two couples, two singles) booked this for 4 nights. Was described as 4BR mansion.The good: Absolutely gorgeous location, stunning sea & coastal views, loved the peace and quiet over Banyalbufar. Stone exterior of house is really cool. Pool and patio are a 10, such a great place to return to each afternoon and lounge around watching the sunset. Loved those vibes. Kitchen was quite usable for cooking meals, & living room was comfortable for lounging - has a small smart TV that somehow streamed fine despite the rest of the WiFi not working (see below). Slow Villas staff was friendly, responsive & accommodating - they helped us out when our flight cancelled last minute resulting in us arriving to Palma after hours.The bad: its really not a 4BR mansion, its a 2BR/2BA apartment on the ground floor of a mansion, with a detached annex that has 1BR/1BA and a tiny uncomfortable sofabed in the entry area. Not ideal for our group, the guy who drew the short straw had some pretty sleepless nights. The whole thing is fairly dated - which is fine, it’s an old house - but mostly just in need of a bit of love and maintenance. Long-term water damage/mold, discolored/peeling paint, flickering cold fluorescent lights. Wifi was weak and wasn’t really usable (except for tv streaming), which was unfortunate as one of our party needed to stay in contact with work back home. There’s a bit of lack of attention to detail. With some effort, this place could be great."
