Piscine grande, bien entretenue

First class. Best gite we have ever stayed in.
We stayed for 2 weeks in La Maison, but we also had the opportunity to check out the other 2 gites - Pigeonnier and Grange - and we are now spoilt for choice!! All 3 are fantastic - clean, well-maintained and, unusual for gites, had everything we needed. The area and views are to die for. The weather was wonderful too. We did not get to meet the owner (who has always been most helpful), but his son and daughter were on site and they were both really kind, friendly and extremely helpful. We were very lazy, I'm afraid and spent most of the time relaxing round the beautiful pool, on our lovely, private balcony or even in the gite itself (watching Wimbledon and the Tour de France!!). My husband brought his bike and went out cycling regularly - fabulous place for cycling. We had a wonderful time and will definitely be returning - we just have to decide which gite we want to stay in!

Family Holiday - Summer 2010
We spent two weeks at La Maison, Ste Foy in August 2010 and were delighted with the house and pool. From the initial booking, Peter Franklin was friendly and helpful - right down to suggesting a route and overnight stop on the way down from Calais.
When we arrived at the house, we were very pleased with the standard of accommation. A large house, clean and well set out, with a fully equipped kitchen. The pool is a real highlight, very clean with enough lounger chairs and umbrellas for all the guests.
Great care has been taken in the renovation and we hope to return again.

First holiday with grown up kids!
We were a tired motley crew that arrived after dark at Sainte Foy, the house was well furnished for a family holiday. A bottle of wine, plus beer and milk in the fridge were very thoughtful and much appreciated. As a noisy group with a guitar and ukelele we were glad that our outdoor sitting area was at the back so we didn't disturb the other guests! We loved the Wednesday night market at Praysass, joining in with the dancing was hilarious! Castelmoron was lovely for shopping and a coffee in a café. The view of the distant hills and vinyards from our patio was stunning, sitting with a glass of wine while the sun set was as near perfect as you can get. Peter and Daryl have done a superb job of restoring these beautiful pale stone buildings, which now all have matching blue shutters. The pool was a great asset as it was quite hot when we were there. We do hope to return one day.

La Maison Sainte Foy
The property was if anything better than the pictures on the internet suggested. It had character, was spacious and comfortable and had all the equipment you needed. The terrace was excellent. The shared pool area was lovely and had lots of sunloungers. The surroundings were peaceful, and the sunsets were amazing. A lovely gite that we would recommend to anyone wanting a relaxing and peaceful holiday.
