The place was far from any decent grocery store, they gave us a room for someone who is in a wheelchair, the bathroom was also meant for someone in a wheelchair, terrible to assume this suited our needs.

We loved our stay at Placid Village. The host was very helpful and friendly. They delivered a huge breakfast of a fruit tray, pancakes, a variety of breads, milk, juice, coffee. There were several nice restaurants nearby 5 minutes driving. There are several beaches and the seven hanging valley trailhead within 5minutes driving. The area is very quiet and dark at night. The only problem I had was that gps sent me to a somewhat isolated residential area using the address listed. I reentered gps using the name “placid village” and I found it easily.

Our stay was amazing. Staff is super friendly and helpful. Our unit was clean and well stocked for our stay. We did have breakfast included in our stay, it is what I call a European breakfast. Cereals,fresh fruits, pastry’s ect. Walk down to Cavierio beach is about 15 minutes. Great options to grocery stores. We had a vehicle which gave us easy access to the rest of the area. You can’t go wrong with these accommodations.

Wonderful stay. My family stayed 5 nights in a two bedroom apartment. Short drive to beautiful beaches, short walk to town, but very quiet surrounding the hotel. Plentiful parking at the hotel. Washing machine in the apartment was VERY convenient as we were on a longer trip (you'll need to supply your own detergent - bring laundry strips, or there's a supermarket short drive away).

Really queit area with a fantastic apartment. it was large, clean and had everything we need. We thouroughly enjoyed our stay here. it was great. Only thing is that it was bit far from the large supermarket but you can take uber or bolt and only cost you under 5 euro.

This was one of our favorite places that we stayed in Portugal. Placid Village was located in a quiet area, but only a 15 minute walk to the restaurants and beaches in town. Going back to the hotel was an uphill walk, but not too bad if you are in decent shape. In the evening we did Uber back. Did not cost much at all to Uber. We loved our rooms with a bath and a half, plus, a washing machine. The kitchen was great, but our favorite was the beautiful pool area. So quiet and enjoyable. We spent every afternoon at the pool. We are recommending to family and friends coming in the future.

It was very dark and quiet in the bedrooms. Great amenities except that the listing stated there was a washer and a dryer but there was only a drying rack and no dryer. Overall I would recommend this property.

Placid village had absolutely wonderful staff! The room was always super clean and a very safe area. Everything is included, there was a kitchen and laundry machine! The staff was so accommodating. We had forgotten to buy laundry detergent and the staff came to our room with a giant bag of it! Will definitely come back again!

I didn’t realize that the property was far from the strip. Expedia said 18 min walk but the walk is down many streets. There are no restaurants nearby, we had to hop in the car to get anywhere. It was a close drive to carvoeiro downtown and a good location to do hiking but everything must be accessed with a car. There is someone at the reception desk til dusk, then a security guard is there overnight. There is parking on site. The suite is large, clean and has a washing machine and a large terrace. The unit has all amenities .. need to being laundry soap etc, again nothing nearby so best to stop at a grocery store before checking in, check time is 4 pm , they don’t let you check in early. Bed was comfortable but tight - was a double. The place is very clean and very quiet, very peaceful .. each morning they are our cleaning the pool area. If you are okay to drive for outings this is a nice tranquil place.

Gut zufrieden

Wir waren sehr gut zufrieden. Gut ausgestattet, tolles Frühstück, sehr nette Mitarbeiter, Parkplätze vorhanden, Balkon und Terrasse, sehr ruhig, sehr geräumig und wir fanden den Padel-Tennisplatz super. Preis-Leistung war gut ausgewogen. Wir waren 2 Nächte hier. Ein Auto ist zu empfehlen.
