"Had a wonderful 3 night stay here. Originally a prison, it has been converted into a quirky, comfortable hotel retaining many of the features. The bedrooms were cells, small but well equipped with ensuite bathrooms. The position is slightly outside the centre of Stockholm but all the better. Situated on a lovely peaceful island within walking distance to Gamla Stan and the museums. The breakfast is amazing with an enormous variety of choices. The staff were friendly and helpful. "We loved this charming hotel on the lake so much. The bed was comfortable and our room looked out onto the lake and a beautiful piece of art , a female head, emerging out of the water. The spa was amazing . We booked it and enjoyed the coed wet and dry saunas, the plunge pool and the heated indoor outdoor pool. The food at the restaurant was delicious. I would definitely stay here again. So stylish yet comfortable at the same time."
