Sunset Lagoon Retreat, with guest only Seafood Farm, is located on a private island in the Puget Sound of Washington. Enjoy your own private beach, boat dock, oyster filled lagoon, and spectacular views of the Olympic Mountains, all framed in a different sunset every evening. With the lagoon, dock & beach in your backyard there are unlimited outdoor activities to experience without leaving your retreat. Where else can you relax all day on your own private beach or take a leisurely kayak ride around your island, and then grab some fresh live oysters, clams or mussels for dinner, from your own private lagoon and seafood farm? This is truly a seafood lover’s dream. We have spent so much time and effort making Sunset Lagoon a unique place to live our lives, we decided to make it available for others to enjoy as well. Now you too can enjoy what others only dream of in your own separate 1200 sq. ft. of secured downstairs living area, at the Sunset Lagoon Retreat and guest only Sea Food Farm, with your own private entry and covered deck. Our place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and families. Come experience what you have always dreamed about all year round at your own private island getaway. By the way; if you’ve never chucked an oyster or dug for clams we would be happy to show you how, Just Ask!

a dreamy weekend getaway!

my partner and i stayed here for a belated anniversary getaway and it was truly perfect. the interior is spacious yet cozy, the exterior is everything you could ask for when staying on the water. dale and carol are perfect hosts, there if you need them but also so good at giving you all the privacy you could want. this home is a gem! you will not regret staying here! we couldn't have asked for a better weekend away from home!

An amazing 3 days

We wanted a quiet getaway and chose Sunset Lagoon because of the great reviews and the promise of seafood. If you like shellfish, this is the place for you! If you like a serene view and (usually) a great sunset, this place delivers. If you love kayaking or paddle boarding, you have a beautiful place to do it. The owners are kind and helpful. You do need to think through what you need in advance since there’s no store on this island. But that’s just a little planning in advance.

Amazing

Dont think twice. Just book it. If youre looking for that *island getaway* this is it. Firepit,bbq, friendly small island community. Youre own private seafood lagoon. Endless amounts of clams/mussels and oysters. Bring the ingredients, gorge on the shellfish.

Beautiful quiet setting with gracious and helpful hosts. Appreciated the adventure of the private fish farm and with help from the host, we dug clams, mussels, and oysters.

Gorgeous stay with oysters, clams and mussels

We spent a lovely long weekend here relaxing and enjoying clams, oysters, and mussels we gathered at low tide. A great romantic getaway even in rainy winter.

Lovely place, inside and out!

Highly recommend this stay to those who want a private getaway with your partner or family! Dale and Carol are friendly and thoughtful hosts. Their place is beautiful, inside and out! The seafood is amazing! The walk to a nearby beach was nice. We also had a couple deer stop by to feed on some carrots we brought with us!

Lovely stay

We loved the home and location. One of our best PNW vacations. We ate lots of seafood, flew kites and took the kayak on the lagoon at high tide. My 3 year old had a great time.

Sunset Lagoon getaway

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The setting was beautiful, our hosts, Dale and Carol, were very welcoming and helpful, and the house contained everything we could possibly need. The icing on the cake was being able to harvest clams, mussels, and oysters for our meals. We would highly recommend this place to any of our friends!

Wonderful hosts and beautiful spot

Our stay in February was more than advertised. Dale and Carol made everything easy and are super friendly. The property was spacious, clean and comfortable. The view is incredible and the shellfish abundant. We walked the whole island in a couple hours and got a sense for the community. Beautiful spot.

Amazing stay

Dale and Carol were the best host we have ever had in our travels, there property is Ten Star.

Some of the best people I have ever met in my life, we will make this a two to three time a year trip to there property, Clean , well kept place. And the neighbors were awesome as well. Our family favorite!

This is our family’s favorite place to stay for a relaxing weekend getaway! This is our third time visiting and we always love it here. The view of the Puget Sound is beautiful, home is clean and very comfortable and we love having access to the kayaks and paddle board. It’s a perfect place to unwind in nature. Thanks to Dale and Carol for another lovely weekend. We look forward to visiting again!

2nd time is still awesome!

I absolutely love this property! So relaxing and yet there are plenty of activities to keep folks busy. Kayaking, paddle boarding, canoeing, clamming, beach combing, deer feeding, Orca spotting (yup, we spotted some) and so much more. Not for parties or loud group though. Love the owners.
