"Disgusting, Deplorable & Dusturbing Conditions Unsanitary conditions, appallingly filthy dump. I was slightly uncomfortable with the exterior of the property, but I tried to keep an open mind and not judge the book by the cover. However, as the front desk clerk spoke to me with a "yes" instead of a greeting such as welcome or how may I assist you. The bad feeling in my gut intensified. I was shown to a nasty and gross room that seemed like it hadn't been cleaned in years - complete with cob webs. I called and told them that they needed to change the room because I would not be staying in it. He asked why and I told him that the room wasn't clean - he said, I don't know how, because it was prepared for you. Ooh really, with the dirt clearly visible across every surface and cobwebs, too? Nice touch, but I must decline. So, I was moved to another room which turned out to be worst - the toilet and bathtub was outside with insects and the elements having easy access to you. Not to mention the privacy and safety implications. Also, there was a septic odor coming from somewhere in the "bathroom", it was disgusting. At night there are no security or front desk staff, so there are potential safety conditions at night. "

"If you stay here, you are right in the heart of one of the coolest neighborhood's in Yogyakarta. It's like a Javanese Williamsburg Brooklyn or Wicker Park Chicago. You can hear live music each night and you have your choice of all kinds of foods and restaurants. Like coffee? Coffee galore. Across the street they will do your laundry - same day and if you need a bottle of water there is a Circle K in front of the place. The interior of the guest house is very, very nice. If you think your room is too basic, just go into the common area and plug in your laptop and do your work. The common area is very cool. The air conditioner worked fine, the bed was comfy, the shower worked (I only had cold water but it wasn't cold cold it was acceptable) and the toilet flushed. I wanted a budget situation and I got a good one that allowed me to go to Borobudur and Prambanan temples. "

"I stayed three nights here and would defiantly stay again if Yogyakarta. Place was great - staff were excellent. Especially at reception Yudha, Fara and the duty manager Indra who helped tremendously when I had left my small rucksack with important items in the taxi and realised 6 hours later - they all helped to contact taxi company to help get it back. Thank you to and Busma & Arif who were the main chefs at breakfast - they cooked something special for me as I’m vegetarian many items on the buffet - although looked vegetarian were cooked in chicken power or meat stock. Also to Johan who helped with car for the main temple visit. All staff were friendly. "

"We liked this hotel and the area. The hotel is outdated but value for money the rooms and beds are clean, but sheets look a bit old. Nice to have swimming pool and the restaurants and bars are close. Also bakery is close with western style choices. The downsite is the noise of the bars which are close."
