Absolutely loved our stay, the game room was such a plus since it was too cold some of our stay for the kids to get out into the ocean. Kirsten was punctual and extremely helpful and came with recommendations around the island. Cant wait to come back.
Positive, the exterior is stunning. The house is updated in some areas/rustic in others. Mostly as pictured-updated stove in kitchen.Negative-extensive. The property was both rented with no running water for the last day & checkout morning & we were double charged & denied a refund for the overcharge until threatening legal action. The house was not properly cleaned. VRBO provided no support & remedy is being secured through our bank, not through Monarch Vacations or VRBO despite our repeated efforts. We've spent an incredible amount of time trying to resolve the situation & are filing complaints with the proper authoritative bodies.As of today, we finally received a refund for the nearly 1,300 overcharge but the partial refund requested for breach of habitability due to no running water is pending & being processed through our bank. VRBO provided no protection.There are more details than we can provide in 1,500 characters & I assume Kirsten at Monarch Properties will respond. We entered this transaction in good faith as we've done in at least 10 other VRBO rentals without significant issue. We have everything in writing and can provide proof of all claims.The challenges with this rental were handled extremely poorly; we lost significant time, money, and trust. Nothing was handled with professionalism or integrity. Kirsten at Monarch Vacations/Properties will claim we have a scheduled call with the owners, but she never confirmed our request.
