We were welcomed with a warm smile to a comfortable clean room with all essentials provided including microwave and lovely deep bath. Free car parking, close walking proximity to hospital and supermarket directly across the road made this an ideal location and one we would definitely happily return to.

The traffic at the Bathurst Street is a bit of a problem. Best was the really friendly staff. The meals at Steve's Grill were good as well. Thank's for a nice time in Launceston.

A no-nonsense pub style accommodation. Great position on the edge of the Launceston CBD. Nice clean room that had been updated. Is located on a busy road so plenty of traffic noise from about 6am

Room had the basic facilities, advertised air conditioning but was air cooler, bathroom had mould in it and asked them to clean it but they never did. Pretty average at best

The room was what I expected for a 3 star property. Check in was easy and efficient. The room had a smell from the drains when we came in, likely because it’s an old building. The linen and bathroom facilities were clean and it had good basic amenities. The couch looked old and a bit dirty and as it was a hot day and only a window with no fly wire and a portable evaporative cooler, our sleep was hot and noisy. Overall it was cost effective and ok for one night.

Pleasant stay in Launceston

I enjoy this type of accomodation ie an older property with the look of a bygone era. The Centennial did not disappoint. Despite being essentially a hotel attached to a restaurant my room was comfortable, clean, well supplied with mini fridge, TV, bathtub, in an updated room. Despite being on a busy street did not hear much road noise filtering into the room. The second floor where the hotel part is as th ground/first floor is the restaurant is partitioned of so the guest can make way to the hotel part. The restaurant receives good reviews, however did not have the chance to try it. The area is about 1.4 kms from the downtown area, has a Coles Supermarket across the street a number of cages a block or two. It is perhaps not the best area in terms of walkability but is close enough to those areas that are. I would definitely stay again.
