"Such an old building is difficult to keep on top of the superficial stuff. The food was excellent and Rob and Rich are SO friendly. If you want polished, and pristine maybe look elsewhere. If you like a good country house style hotel this is ideal."

"Welcoming hotel with helpful staff. Lovely old country house, very comfortable bed in delightful upper room with incredible views. Some tired and old decor in breakfast room but other areas well maintained and clean. Disappointed not to have had a shower in the bathroom, only a bath and had to ask for more shower gel and soap as it was not replaced."

"Cute little cabin in a quite pretty location. Basic, but worth the money if you want a value for money private accommodation. My only comments (not complaint as these things don’t bother me). It was cold when I got there, it would have been nice if the heating could have been put on before arrival. The floor is freezing - bring slippers. The shower had a bit of a mind of its own and was either cold or red hot! It was cleanish but not perfect. And the tea tasted awful (not sure if water or kettle so I avoided this. Overall a nice place to stay, some small tweaks would make it perfect. "

"Lovely little cottage, with lots of attention to detail. Felt like the owners have given a lot of though to making guests comfortable, including nice soft furnishings - everything was easy and relaxing. There's a small supermarket around 150m away, a larger supermarket around 400m away and a very large supermarket across town, near the A30."
