Leland Village River Front Beauty ~ Peaceful Neighborhood ~ Swim Off The Dock!

Here is a beautiful 4 bedroom family house in a peaceful neighborhood in the village of Leland. River's Bend offers easy walks to town, great bike riding on quiet streets, swimming off the dock in crystal clear water with hard sand bottom, and quick access to both Lake Michigan or Lake Leelanau beaches 5 minutes away.

This charming updated 2 story Cape Cod house sleeps up to 8 guests with 4 bedrooms and 2 baths (no tub). The living room is spacious and comfortably furnished. The dining room adjoins the living room and the kitchen is off the dining room. All three rooms directly view the river. The kitchen is equipped for gourmet cooking and features new appliances including dishwasher. The washer and dryer are in the basement.

The house has a water filtration system. Hardwood floors throughout first floor, carpeting upstairs. Big flat HD Smart TV in the living room which has cable and DVDs. Wifi included. Games and books on hand too. Leland is ideally located on the Leelanau Peninsula, with beautiful Sleeping Bear Dunes, Northport, Suttons Bay, wineries, hikes, bike trails, historic sites and beaches all close by. Bike and boat rentals are available nearby. The house and location are perfect for all ages and interests. We are sure you will enjoy it as much as we do!

Outdoors is simply beautiful! Tranquil lounging on the river and backyard fun can be had here. Spacious yard for kid play or restful relaxation for Mom and Dad. There is a dock provided. Easy to rent canoes, kayaks and pontoons. Boat launch is walking distance from the house. Channel down the river to Lake Leelanau for all watersport fun. The river is sandy and shallow at the shore so makes for a perfect play spot for the kids. Outdoor furniture and a grill is provided.

The village of Leland offers plenty of shopping and dining. Rare book store, sweet shops and gifts galore. Lake Michigan is on the west side of town and offers a beautiful marina and 'Fishtown' not to be missed for more shopping and eats. This area is located between Northport and Glen Arbor. Travel the M-22 corridor and visit local beaches, sand dunes, roadside farm stands and so much more. Visit dozens of wineries in the area too. You will not be disappointed when you stay at the Rivers Bend.

Tranquil and comfortable riverfront home

Our family enjoyed our stay at the Leland River House, it is spotless and comfortable. We rented kayaks and had them delivered to the property to enjoy the lake. Would definitely stay here again.

Getaway

Cute place on the channel. Kids can swim, not to deep. We rented a paddle board and kayak from a local shop. You can walk to town (10-15 min walk). The place was clean and the check out process is easy. Also good communication from the owner. Thanks

Great location and very relaxing.

The location on the river couldn't have been better! The yard is surrounded by trees, giving you lots of privacy and making it feel like you're in the woods while just minutes from town. Sitting in the house or in the yard watching the river was super relaxing. There is WiFi at the house, but if you want to be disconnected from the world, don't use it and you can pretend to be off grid, as there is very little cell service in Leland. This was the perfect weekend getaway for relaxing and recharging!

Great Family Location

Great place for a family to stay in Leland. Grandkids loved swimming in the river every day, and being able to walk into town for shopping and food. Highly recommend. We have stay here twice. loved it each time.

Leland River Cottage

Relaxing stay on the Leland River. Great location to beaches, wineries, and Fishtown. Everything you need for a great vacation in Northern Michigan. This was our third time staying here and each time has been very enjoyable. Always look forward to returning.

Great location.

Very comfortable house within easy walking distance of the center of Leland. But especially wonderful to sit on the back lawn along the river and watch the boats travel up and down. Kids can play in the water off the dock. Absolutely wonderful place to spend a summer vacation.

Relaxing Long Weekend

The property is exactly as described in the listing - a 4-bedroom house on the short river that joins Lake Leelanau with Lake Michigan. It is in good shape, with a cozy, cottage vibe; the grounds were in excellent shape, with a mowed lawn, freshly planted flowers (in mid-June), and no weeds to be seen. The town of Leland is a ten-minute walk away, as is Van's Beach on Lake Michigan. (Unfortunately, there were a lot of dead alewives stinking up the Lake Michigan beach while we were there - unpleasant, but just something that occasionally happens.) We were up there for four nights - five adults and a two-year old - and we had a very relaxing time, which is just what we were lookng for.

Cute cottage!!

We stayed at this cute cottage for a long weekend with friends and had a great stay! The house was what we expected. We were all very comfortable and loved the view! It’s very simple with no frills. We didn’t need much because we were exploring the area. We would recommend this place for the view and location alone!

Leland River Cottage

Second time staying at the river cottage. Just as good as the first! Everything we needed for an enjoyable week in Northern Michigan. We rented a SUP from Harbor House and enjoyed relaxing paddles up and down the river. Also toured the wineries and enjoyed the beach and shopping in town. Great location and relaxing setting on the river.

Lovely peaceful getaway

Lovely cottage on the river. The Family times we spent there was very special. Don’t forget to bring a boat, kayak or a bicycle, if you are interested in these activities. We had a hard time renting.

Up North Perfection

This is our third year at the cottage. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Our children love hanging out on the dock, swimming, playing football in the big yard and having their own bedrooms upstairs. The house is extremely well-maintained and the beautiful kitchen is easy to use. We prepared many meals to be shared outside at the picnic table. We love walking into Fishtown, hitting Nedows and Vans beaches and walking around the lovely neighborhood. Canoeing on Platte River, visiting the sand dunes, day-tripping to South Manitou and visiting nearby Sutton’s Bay, Northport and Glen Arbor are yearly traditions. Thank you, Noonans, for letting us enjoy up north and your lovely home.

Perfect Family Getaway

This is our fifth year staying at this charming riverfront property perfectly situated in Leland, Michigan. The open floor plan is made for memorable family gatherings. The grounds are reminiscent of an English country garden and all within an easy walk of several restaurants, the 'Merc' (local grocery store), Fishtown and local shops. The new dock easily accommodates our boat for quick getaways on Lake Leelanau. The owner's pride shines throughout this beautiful property.
