"I liked the hotel and the staff were lovely. The food in the restaurant was particularly good. The reason I gave a poor review rating overall was because the fire alarm went off at 12:50 am and then rang intermittently for 45 minutes because apparently the Staff could not override a fault on the control panel or something like that. "The staff was very helpful to us - holding our luggage before check-in time so we could explore the area. We had dinner in the restaurant and came back later in the evening for dessert. Everything was fresh and delicious. The room was not huge but it was clean and the bed was comfortable, the shower hot and the little fan was great (it was quite a warm night). "

"Delightful visit to The George and Dragon! Friendly and obliging staff, great pub, room and breakfast. Rooms renovated to a high standard and beautifully furnished. Loved the windows which could be opened to cool the room and bonus bath to relax in. Friendly bar staff when we had a drink in the pub before bed and lovely lady served us at breakfast. Really impressed and highly recommend a stay. 10/10"
