About this property
Seaside Cottage, Dogs Welcome - good walks, by beach & Snowdonia National Park
This lovely 200 year old ex-fisherman's cottage is small but very pretty, a perfect size for a couple, with a very well equipped, light and airy kitchen. A double bedroom, Shower Room, and a Lounge with a feature original Welsh Stone curved wall.
With gas central heating throughout, radiator in each room, and a gas fire in the lounge for an additional boost, this cottage is warm and cosy all year round.
We provide all linen, fridge freezer, microwave, gas cooker. There is a TV and DVD player in the lounge, plus of course the all important WiFi.
The cottage is situated alongside our garden and the wall separating the cottage has pots and baskets with seasonal plants and flowers. The outlook is south towards the Snowdonia range of mountains, and we are situated immediately off the A55 which is the main route through North Wales: This gives very easy access to the road network whichever direction you wish to explore.
The village, Llanfairfechan, is a typical Welsh seaside village. It's small and quiet, very peaceful. We have a Co-op, a couple of pubs, one serving food, takeaways, an award winning butcher, a couple of cafes on the seafront - opening hours may be seasonal. The cottage is literally just a few seconds walk from a lovely sandy beach and the Promenade, where you can wander along past a small lake with nesting swans, onto the salt flats where you may find many unusual birds.
A 15 minute drive, if you want to venture out, will take you to Llandudno, Conwy, Colwyn Bay, Bangor, or the bridge across to the Island of Anglesey. Llanberis with it's lovely lake and Mountain Railway is about half an hour away.
Our garden is not accessible for the cottage, it is fenced off for our dogs to use. Please be aware that they may bark at you as you enter the gate but will quickly lose interest and wander away (they cannot access the cottage path, so don't worry about that) - if you do not like dogs, or they annoy you, it makes sense for you to please choose an alternative property, as this may not be right for you.
If you are bringing your dog with you, be aware that he/she will need to be taken outside the property for toileting - the beach plus a path with benches is only a minute's walk away. You will not have access to our garden, the cottage path is secure but it's literally just a concrete walkway along the front of the cottage. If your dog does poo on that path we will appreciate your clearing it up quickly, and there's an outside tap and hose, please use to it to keep that area clean if necessary. We love dogs, and we aren't precious about dogs on the furniture, but will have to charge for any damage that can't be rectified in time for the next people coming in, or if we need to replace any items, so please respect the space. There's a dog towel and bowl/poo bags under the sink in the bathroom, please ask if you need anything else or more towels.
As regards parking, you can pull up by the cottage gate to unload and then you will need to park on the car park out on the sea front. There are usually plenty of spaces but from 23rd July 2025 there will be a charge for the car park. £6.50 per 24 hours. Occasionally some people choose to park on Glanmor Road where there aren’t restrictions, but if you do so you will need to tuck it in tightly as the road is narrow.

The cottage is right on the beach front, sleepy location for peace by the sea, easy accessible for parking and secure gate outside for the dogs.
Lovely get away for tranquility for 2 and your fur family.
Small but well appointed accommodation super close to the sea. Friendly and extremely helpful hosts who provided unstinting and timely assistance when required. Thank you for an excellent stay with my fur family.
Sue greeted us on arrival , lovely lady.
The Fishermans was cosy and quirky , ideally suited for us two and our small dog .
We would definitely recommend and stay there again.
We had a lovely first trip to Wales and such a relaxing time staying in this cozy seaside cottage. The property managers were helpful and friendly and responsive and made our stay stress free. We would recommend this location to our friends and hope to return ourselves on a future trip.
Great place, owners are next door if you need anything, but happy to leave you to it which is great, fantastic Beach just outside the front door along with café and plenty of parking. Loads of walks, nearby and stuff for kids to do too
Welcoming, cosy, relaxing and just perfect. Hosts were amazing and so friendly and easy going.Cottage was exactly as advertised cosy homely and beautiful. Highly recommended for a little break. Our pooch absolutely loved it. Very accommodating for the pooches too.
The property is ideally suited for exploring North Wales,
1 min from the beach, 3 mins from the Nth wales expressway and access to Snowdonia/Anglesey and the Llyn peninsula.
Sue and Michelle (owners) are very accommodating and friendly.
A cosy little cottage with everything you need at hand
Our 2nd visit there and won't be our last.
Cosy cottage containing everything you need for your getaway. The hamper in the kitchen is a thougtful touch as are the cosy throws in the lounge and bedroom. A short stroll and you are on the seafront.
Third time staying here with my dog. Amazing place right on the seafront. Long walks along the beach and into the nature reserve. Everything you need at this cottage. Enjoyed cosy nights in front of the fire.
Very comfortable and well decorated cottage for 2.
Clean, tidy, well equipped. Very attractive furniture, bedding, and lamps. Only problem was bathroom was tight for space. Location very good for Anglesey and Snowdonia.
The cottage was spotless, cosy and comfortable. There is everything you need in the kitchen. The area is beautiful, great for birdwatching. The owners are so lovely and very responsive in their communication. I will be coming back again soon. Thanks.
An absolute gem in the perfect location, so close to the beach in Llanfairfechan which is just a beautiful place to visit.
The cottage itself has everything you need and was super clean with a well equipped kitchen.
Michelle and Sue are the perfect hosts.
We cannot wait to visit again.
