Set in an unpretentious outdoor paradise

It is a beautiful historical inn / lodge great location for exploring the Adirondacks in a very laid back unpretentious environment.

Superb setting with wonderful grounds, beautiful view of Long Lake and wonderful dock to park a chair. The restaurant on Premise has the finest food we have tasted in all of the Adirondack region.

Staying at the Long View Lodge gave us a genuine Adirondack experience. We especially enjoyed the porch with its rocking chairs overlooking the lake. Shower was hot and the towels were luxurious. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Very clean and friendly hotel. New bathroom. In a beautiful location on the lake, with large grounds that access the shore, The whole property has a rustic feel about it that is totally appropriate to the Adirondacks.

Love the classic lodge look and feel. We didn't go to the restaurant, but it looked very nice and gets good reviews. They don't have anyone at the front desk, but the housekeeper was very helpful and brought us different pillows when we asked for them since the original ones smelled bad.

This is an older lodge on a beautiful property. Baseboard heat, no AC, no elevator, but comfy beds and a fully functional bathroom. With a little bit of imagination and money, this could be a really nice facility.

Fabulous restaurant and beautiful spot

We chose the lodge based on its location and easy access to the fabulous restaurant and it did not disappoint. However, the room was really not sound proof. We could hear every sounds from the bathroom next door and from the bickering couple across the hall. Small things could help improve the comfort of the room, a few hooks in the large bathroom to hang clothes and a second night table for example.

Manager Matt was very friendly and extremely helpful: he and his nephew bailed me out when my truck was trapped by a fallen tree blocking a gravel road. They showed up with a chain saw and cleared the road. Much obliged!

Very basic. Was hoping to get there in time for dinner but we were too late on our arrival. The reviews were so good for the food. The bed was comfortable. Pillows smelled mildewy. Shower curtain had mildew which just gives the whole room an "ick" feel no matter how clean. Seriously, folks invest in new shower curtains.

A nice location, clean room, and good food.

Made a last-minute reservation and got the last room for the weekend in Long Lake to support hiking in the ADK high-peaks. Didn't do any research ahead of time. Nice setting overlooking Long Lake. Room was simple, clean and comfortable. Restaurant had good service and good food. Excellent selections at the bar. Ate at the restaurant both nights as we didn't have any reason to go elsewhere. Nice lounge area with comfortable couches. Only negative was that parking got full quickly but we were able to park without too much problem. Could use some painted lines so cars don't leave large gaps between 'spaces'. Made plan to go back the following weekend and made reservation at the Long View Lodge again.

Room was basic with no extras but it was all we needed. Comfortable bed and pillows, nice shower. Full bar had signature drinks that were amazing. Guacamole was fresh and the homemade chips the best we ever had. Vegetarian dinner of strudel was delicious and unique. Fish meal was fresh and tasty. Dessert of fruit cobbler was generous and not too sweet and with blueberry ice cream!! Staff were friendly and efficient. The food was not cheap but the quality and great service were totally worth it to us!

Wonderful stay with great service, food, and views! I arrived late (~8 PM), but the manager immediately came to assist with check-in and arrangements. I stayed in Standard Queen Room 17 for four nights—the room was lovely, and the attached bathroom was spacious and spotless. Portable heaters and fans were provided right away whenever requested. The food was delicious (there was quite a bit to choose from)—highly recommend the crispy chicken tenders and pasta! The dining/drawing area overlooks the lake beautifully. The bar downstairs was cozy and well-stocked, perfect for unwinding in the evening after a day of hiking. Complimentary water, coffee, and tea were available 24/7, and a shared microwave was provided for guests. The location is excellent—only about 10 minutes from Castle Rock Hill Trail (a moderate 2-mile hike with ~871 ft elevation gain) and close to the Adirondack Experience Museum. It’s around 1.5 hours to the High Peaks (Lake Placid, ADK Loj, Saranac Lake), but if you start early (~8 AM), you’ll have plenty of time to summit a peak and still explore Placid or Saranac afterward. Overall, the staff were professional, friendly, and attentive. I truly enjoyed my stay here and would absolutely recommend it to anyone visiting the area!
