Summary:
Looking for a beautiful homebase for your stay in Louisville?  Stop looking, you've found it!  Premier walkable location that cannot be beat and space to spread out and entertain your group all in one spot! 3 bedrooms and 1 full bath on the first floor, 2 bedrooms and 1 full bath on the 2nd floor. Must climb stairs to enter the property.

The Space:
Five beautifully designed bedrooms, two fantastic and easily accessible full bathrooms with g walk in showers, and a monster of a deck constructed purely for your entertainment!  Plenty of seating, an outdoor bar, and a fantastic fire pit make this home a pleasure for all seasons!

Additionally, you're located in the heart of the Highlands neighborhood; Louisville's most exciting entertainment district for arts, dining, and adventure!

Did we mention you have adequate off street parking for 2 vehicles in back?

We booked this property for a birthday get away for July. We unfortunately had a death in the immediate family the week before our trip and had to cancel. It took all week to get the host to respond and when he did he refused to allow the cancellation. However, he was at least gracious enough to commit to a 60% credit if we REBOOKED with him as I said we would still take the trip at a later date. When we rescheduled, he would not return any messages and now we have a trip booked to a stay in 16 days and still no responses. VRBO offers zero help even though they too have not been able to reach the host. Extremely frustrating and disappointing. The pictures look amazing but we have been forced to find another property and will have to dispute both charges.

The bathroom downstairs was terrible and would not pass any fire or plumbing inspection. There was a whole below the outlet, and the toilet wobbles side to side. It looked like they attempted to fix it with a wedge but we're unsuccessful. After using it once and leaving, we came back to water on the floor. I messaged David

Great Location

We stayed at the Big Chill! as part of a guy's trip. The location of the house was great as it was easily walkable to local restaurants, bars and coffee shops as well as minimal traffic for our drives in and out of Louisville for the bourbon trail destinations. The house was more than accommodating and as described in the listing and pictures. Note that it is an older property so expect the various quirks that may accompany a 1900s era home.

Spring Break

Overall review

House accommodations were pretty great as far as rooms for the amount of people we brought (7 total). The back yard is the best feature of this house with the hot tub, fire pit and the outside bar seating area. That is where we spent all our time during our stay while at the house. Only complaints that we had was the grill didn’t work, (burners are busted) and the water pressure in the showers isn’t very good. But besides those two issues this property was great!

Great house in a great location

House is even bigger than it looks online. We had a group of 8 and had plenty of space. The back deck area with the hot tub and fire pit are fantastic and the location was great. We walked to a couple of bars and restaurants which was great to be able to do and on top of that it was only a 10 minute drive to downtown. I highly recommend staying here

Big Chill As Expected

The check in process was smooth and efficient. House was just as expected. Clean. Furniture was comfortable. We didn’t really use the kitchen but just enough for coffee and drinks for the 4 of us. It could use stocking up on mugs and glasses a little more. That was the only thing lacking. The backyard/deck was just as it looked in the listing. We used the hot tub two nights and it was great. Unfortunately the snow/ice kept us from being able to use the sunken firepit and the outdoor bar/grill area. This house is recommended and we would stay here again.
