Texas Tech University is only 7 blocks away. Tech Terrace Hidden Gem is a 5 minute walk to two fantastic parks, Wagner and Tech Terrace park. If you are coming to town to cheer on the Texas Tech Basketball teams, the United Spirit Arena, is a walkable distance!
Modern updates and a boho vibe set this place apart from your run-of-the-mill Airbnb experience. The Tech Terrace Hidden Gem will allow you to relax and escape on your next visit to Lubbock. This house features 3 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms. The kitchen is fully stocked and updated with quartz countertops and new appliances. There is plenty of room to gather with your guests! The open concept dining room and large living room with 65-inch Roku enabled TV will make you feel right at home. The home includes a huge and fenced backyard, that you can hear the Goin' Band From Raiderland practicing during Texas Tech Football Season.

The first bedroom contains a queen bed and a jack and jill bathroom. The second bedroom contains a queen size bed with its own outside entry. The third bedroom has a queen bed and Roku Enabled TV with its own private bathroom. The entire has house been completely remodeled and you will love the tiled showers and modern design. The living room features a plenty of seating and a sofa that allows for an additional guest to sleep. A 65-inch Roku enabled TV is in the living room for your convenience. Between the kitchen and the living room is the open dining room. The entire house has plenty of light throughout with all the new windows installed. The kitchen is stocked with everything you need to cook your own meals during your stay. Quartz counter tops, new custom cabinets, appliances, and modern lighting will make you want to take this kitchen home with you. There is on site parking with a long driveway that can fit up to 4 cars. We do NOT allow pets at this property. Please plan on leaving your furry friends at home. Violation of this policy will result in a $150 cleaning fee. All areas of the house are available to guests except for the locked cleaning closet.
**Unauthorized parties or events will result in a $500 additional fee + plus damages. Guests will be asked to vacate the property immediately. **

Emily is your host and her interaction with guests is very minimal. The front door has a keypad so that you may let yourselves in and out. Once you have booked, please refer to the check-in instructions for entry codes that are sent out 24 hours before your stay. Please only use the keypad lock to lock the door. Do not lock the bottom lock on the front door. Should you need anything during your stay Emily lives nearby and will usually be available to help at any time. Emily is always available by text or phone call. She prides herself on quick responses. Please use the Airbnb app call or text us for any communication. E-mail does not work as quickly, and we will not see your messages. Let us know if you're looking for restaurant recommendations or something to do!

You will arrive to a very safe, well-established neighborhood located south of Texas Tech University in the Historic Tech Terrace neighborhood on 26th and Akron. Very easy access to shopping, (supermarket is 5 blocks away) dining, and entertainment. This house is a straight 3–5-minute shot to the Southwest corner of Texas Tech campus. The Tech Terrace Hidden Gem is located close to everything. Main roads are University and 19th Street nearby as well as Marsha Sharp Freeway and Loop 289. Quick access to everything Lubbock has to offer! Other than Uber, Lubbock has poor city transportation options, so it is recommended that you have a vehicle. You can ride the bus on to campus that runs South on Boston and North on Flint. All areas of the house are available to guests except for the locked cleaning closet.

Spring Break family

Visiting with family that lives in Lubbock, a few small issues but over all good nice house! Need a future house to be closer to another area of Lubbock, will check for a closer house for a possible May 2025 stay.

Perfect location for Tech camp

We were in town for the weekend to attend a Tech camp. It was perfect for what we needed. The location was great and it was very quiet there unlike what you find in the busy hotel in the summer. The space was clean and had everything we needed. Too bad we didn’t use the big backyard for anything since it was such a quick trip. We will be back!

Tech Terrace Gem

The property has been redone very well and was very clean. The back yard provided plenty of space to hang out and the neighborhood has always been one of my favorite parts about Lubbock. It is super close to some amazing places to eat and makes it easy to get to destinations all over town.

Nice property/great location

The Hidden Gem was perfect for our weekend in Lubbock. We came to celebrate our daughter’s birthday and give her a break from dorm life. The house is cute and updated, has comfortable beds and clean bathrooms. We didn’t cook anything, but the kitchen appeared to be well appointed. The Tech campus is in walking distance and the short walk to J&B Coffee was a bonus. The street was quiet at night and the neighbors were friendly.

This house was perfect for what we needed. We were in town to visit our college daughter. The house is located close to everything that we needed. Nice updates to the house and a super comfy couch made for a very comfortable stay. We would be happy to stay here again in the future.

Perfect Stay for Work and Relaxation!

I had an excellent stay at this charming house in Lubbock. Located in a great neighborhood close to Tech campus, it was also conveniently within walking distance of a great local coffee shop. There were plenty of dining and coffee options within a 5-minute drive as well. The house itself was adorable and clean. It provided a peaceful and relaxing environment, which was just what I needed for my work trip. The setup was perfect for working from home, and I was able to get a lot done during my stay. Additionally, the host's communication was outstanding—they went above and beyond to ensure my trip was smooth and enjoyable. I highly recommend this place for both work and leisure!

Great house

Was in Lubbock to visit my college kids. The house is in a great location... close to campus, close to coffee and bakery, close to Lubbock arboretum, etc. The house is decorated quite cute. Towels and linens were nice. If I had to pick something that I would like to see at the house, it would be a fresh dish sponge for the kitchen and a few more pots & pans for cooking. Otherwise, my stay was perfect. Would stay here again.

Tgis home has been recently renovated, looking lovely, and with comfortable furnishings. Walking distance to Texas Tech, groceries, a cute coffee shops with lovely breakfast sandwiches, and a scrumptious bakery with freshly made breads and pastries. Washer, dryer, and pots and pans show some wear and tear but still very functional. A perfect stay for a get-away or to enjoy after seeing a game at Texas Tech!

Great location for Texas Tech visit

Location was perfect for visiting Texas Tech campus. Close to places to eat and nice neighborhood. House is super cute and just as advertised. Bathrooms are updated and clean. Host and owner were very easy to work with. Really no complaints at all. Only recommendation would be to add bath mats for when get out of the shower. Other than that we loved the house and would definitely stay again!

Quiet Neighborhood

Stayed for a long weekend. Check in was easy. This is an older home that has been nicely renovated but the floors creak when walking on them. The bed was comfortable and shower was good. The only thing that would improve this older home would be more power outlets. My husband has a CPAP machine and also charges his phone. That takes up all the outlets close to the bed. I just charged my phone after getting up in the morning so I could have my phone close at night. We prefer local news and with the Roku we couldn’t find any local stations but we’re not used to Roku so it might have just been operator error. Overall a good place to stay.

Disappointing Stay - Needs Attention to Cleanliness

Our recent stay at this property was, unfortunately, not what we had hoped. While the listing appeared promising, there were a number of issues that impacted our comfort and experience. The floors in the property creak extremely loudly. The host provided earplugs and sound machines in the bedrooms, which helped, but it’s disappointing to have to rely on these just to get a decent night’s sleep. The bathrooms were also an issue. The toilet seats were visibly stained and in need of replacement, which gave an unpleasant impression right from the start. In addition, I was quite surprised to find dead bugs in the window sills, left by the cleaning service. This oversight, along with cockroaches spotted in the laundry room, raises concerns about the property's cleanliness standards. Overall, while the location has potential, the issues with cleanliness and maintenance need to be addressed to make this property a more comfortable and enjoyable place to stay. I hope the host considers these improvements for future guests.

Classic home with modern remodel

This property was central to everything our weekend entailed. We would highly recommend to friends traveling together or with our family. There are 3 bedrooms, 2 of which have attached bathrooms. Be advised that one shower does not have a traditional door so sharing the space while someone is in the shower may not be practical. The checkin/checkout process was seamless.Host permitted us to check in early. The driveway has sufficient room for up to 3-vehicles in a stacked orientation We will be returning with our family as soon as we can.
