Very Unpleased with Expedia's Mystery Deal

I did not end up staying at this hotel! I purchased 1 night at this hotel through Expedia's mystery hotel deal. My partner and I arrived around midnight (due to bad weather) and could not check in, as check in ended at 11pm! I would not have booked any hotel with an 11pm check in deadline. I feel disappointed in Expedia for not disclosing this prior to purchasing the mystery deal. Very discouraged and will not book through Expedia again.

Reasonable price, but nothing else to recommend it

This is bargain basement. The place is pretty run down and the beds/pillows were horribly uncomfortable. Very glad to have only stayed one night and blasted onwards.

Move on!

Terrible stay! Was for business too! Noisy motel and not clean! Weakest breakfast options ever too! Just bread and cereal and Eggos! Not even juice or yogurt for crying out loud. And was so dirty upstairs and outside of rooms! A dog pooped too outside of a room and I let them know and just left for over an hr until we left.

Dirty, super dated and NO ammenities!

TV tiny and very distorted! Super dirty upstairs and up to rooms was so gross! NO breakfast options other than toast and cereal and EGGOS only! Not even juice! That is it! Plus I loved that a dog took a crap outside of a guest's room and I notified front desk about that and just left there for a super long time! Why not make it a priority to remove...? I saw the same guy I told later do laundry stuff instead!

Great adequate Stay

The room was huge, with 2 queen beds. Nice bathroom, no fridge, no kettle and cups/drinking glasses, ample space to move around in the room, desk and mirror. It is an older hotel, but that's not a bad thing. We would stay there again as the price was very good for what we got, Included a basic breakfast to be eaten in your room, included cereal, muffins, bread, milk, tea, coffee, hot chocolate, jams, toaster, no microwave

No real issue in need of update now

for the price I was expecting something a little bit more modern. Rather than a 60's so so room

hotel was clean, close to downtown off the hiway.

Breakfast was in a tiny room that was crowded with 3 people in it. Room was clean, staff was friendly and helpful.

Overnight Stay

We had to change rooms as the main window could not be secured. The bathtub had black mold around the edges, obviously not cleaned in some time. The TV was of poor quality and the furnishings were cheap. Definitely not worth the price being charged. Would not stay there again.

The hotel is on a very busy & noisy street. The noise continued all night and there was no sound barriers in the walls so the traffic kept us awake most of the night.

Modest hotel. Decent for a one night stay, but not enough comforts for a multi night stay.

The receptionist of the hotel was not familiar with the town of Golden, so we couldn't find any information about the town or the surrounding attractions. She also seemed very impatient of answering queries. Other than that, the hotel was nice and the stay was pleasant.

not worth it

This hotel is not good value. The rooms are very dated and the breakfast was not good. I will not stay here again. When we checked in the TV was going and the pillows were rumpled and a key card holder was in the room. It was disconcerting despite all reassurances that the staff had just left in a hurry.

Basic hotel. Decent location. Poor wifi.

Very basic hotel. The location is right across from a supermarket so that's convenient. There's a microwave in the room. The room is very basic. Even though wifi was detected but it did not work. Basically no wifi.

Fair for the price

All is in the name, EconoLodge. It is very affordable and one of the lowest cost alternatives in the area. We checked in late and left early, so we did not care much for luxury. Okay to stay the night, TV did not work but we didn't care, no time to watch anything anyways. One of my kids found a bunch of syringes in one of the drawers, fortunately they were still in their packages, and sealed. Still a bit concerning when a kid makes the find. Person in reception apologized when I brought it up, but no word of a discount for the night... Which would have been the thing to do. Any discount would have been more symbolic than anything else, but was never offered. All in all, if all you care about is a bed to sleep, this place is alright.

Bad value for money

The hotel was over prized. The room looked dated but worked fine for a one night stay on our road trip. The breakfast was a joke. Small room without seating so you needed to take the disposable plates and cup to your room. No fresh waffles but Eggo waffles to put in toaster (really). Fuses blew while we were there so no electricity in breakfast area. Basically ended up having no breakfast.

Toaster and microwave were broken during breakfast. The Housekeeping staff had no manners or actual training, a staff opened the door without my knowledge of who they were or even a simple knock to let me know. After barging into my room he did not even apologize or excuse himself. The hotel room was also very dark and the wifi was spotty and slow did not work half the time. This hotel was by far one of the worst hotels I have stayed at. Not worth the hundred fifty i paid for, felt more like a 60 dollar motel.

Not what I had in mind.

Run down, noisy and smelly. :( I would not stay here again. The beds were very hard and the bathroom smelled wrong.
