"The staff were very friendly both in reception and in the dining room. The breakfast was fabulous with lots of fresh choices. The bedroom was a little dark but cozy and comfortable. The room was made up clean and tidy every day. It was lovely and quiet at night."

"Russel and Nicky made us feel very welcome and at home , the breakfast are amazing and worth a revisit alone ! The room was clean and tidy , the en-suite was spacious and the views from our windows over the river were great . We had bedroom 3 and the river runs directly outside and the sounds and views of the river are very relaxing . We would highly recommend to anyone wanting a lovely quiet peaceful break with lovely walks right on your doorstep.. we will be back for sure "

"Very old, charming building that has seen better days and could do with some updating and new decoration. However was clean and was very close to local shops and places to eat. Also have to say the Receptionist, Rachel was fabulous and was very helpful and had great local knowledge which helped when planning our stay. "We enjoyed meeting all Staff and found everyone really helpful and friendly. Lovely room, very comfortable. Nice lounge areas too and no dogs. The only thing we found challenging was that the menu for the evening meals didn't change. After two nights, we were lucky that a BBQ had been organised so we could order that for a change. Unfortunately, the BBQ finished at 5pm which was rather early for an evening meal. "

"Our room was small but clean and had everything we needed. We enjoyed a bottle of wine which was reasonably priced and the fish and chips were delightful. Our evening meal was also delicious and so nice not to be rushed. All staff were very helpful and friendly, we only stayed one night but would certainly recommend."

"Stayed sunday night so restaurant not open for evening meal but the breakfast was excellent. Room was clean bright and fresh great view of railway and the sea. Bathroom was clean and fresh with a powerful hot shower. Managed to park on site . Would definitely recommend this hotel and will stay again. All the staff we spoke to were friendly and helpful. "

"Beautiful room, interaction with owners was polite and minimal and we felt comfortable during our stay, met the owner in person when leaving and she was very lovely.
