A Decent Stop

A great stop on my way to Mackinac Island. The staff was helpful and it's lovely to have a spot on the beach.

They never came to clean our room, not even to bring clean towels. There was 2 lounges on the beach. The beach was nice after you got past the weeds. The room was beautiful and clean, the beds were comfortable. I would stay here again if they at least brought clean towels everyday without having to call and ask for them. This is a sandy beach ⛱️ you need clean towels every day!

Great hospitality

I needed a dog friendly room that didn’t discriminate breeds, they were wonderful! Welcoming and encouraging to my dogs. The room was perfect for them.

We got to our room and the air conditioner was not working blowing out heat. They came and looked at it. And they got us a different room. The first room had a microwave. The second room did not. Like the patio and had a good view.

Decent room

Room was clean, great water pressure. Beds were a little to hard for me but overall good room for the money. Beach access and pool. Close walk to ferry as well.

I have stayed in the past in the lake view rooms which were recently remodeled and beautiful. I assumed all were the same. Stayed in a room that was not lake view and it was not so pleasant. Things were dirty and needed updating. Very little soundproofing. The people upstairs were loud and could hear neighbors as well. Staff are super friendly and helpful.

Super nice staff!!!

The service was excellent, however room could use a good cleaning. The ice maker didnt work but the front desk guy went next door with our cups so we could have some ice water. Super nice!!!

I love the view I had of the lake. The staff was wonderful when checking in and checking out. The bed was comfortable to sleep on. The only down side was there was no microwave to be able to heat up left overs from a restaurant or have popcorn but that’s the only thing that was inconvenient at the time. I loved that I could park close to my room which made it easier to unload my stuff and reload it when it was time to check out. Overall I will stay again in the future.

Pool was not cleaned at all. Towels were left in the pool room for well over 24 hours without being picked up. The hot tub was full of sand and also looked like it had not been cleaned in some time. The pool is one of the main reasons we booked this hotel. The elevator quit working the first day and the same items on the floor the whole time. Just wasn’t want we were expecting from the pictures that were online. Now our room was clean the first shift worker was very friendly and helpful.

Good location. Right on the beach. Balcony facing the lake. Enjoyed fireworks show on the balcony. Has refrigerator and microwave oven. Well supplied bath. Furniture is old. A/C has strong burnt odor while running on heating mode.

Okay for the money

The staff was friendly and helpful at check-in. Overall the room was clean. The outside is dated, needs cleaned and the balcony is in extreme need of updating, cleaning and painting. The plastic lawn furniture on the deck also needs cleaning.

Balcony off room overlooking the lake was great. No blanket on sofa sleeper and pillows had to be taken off the king bed in the suite. Breakfast at the Clarion was out of food in most selections. We did get toast.

We loved the location and we were able to bring our pet. We had a great view from our room and right on the lake. The price was great and the room was clean. The room was ok. Liked the in room hot tub. However, the building was definitely less than desirable. Our patio door was very old and stained and the screen door was off and blocking the opening out. There were holes underneath the building, not sure what’s living there. That said, it fit our needs and would stay again if needed.

Our room had holes in the ceiling,the plugs were coming off the walls and the slider door needed to be replaced and the glass too. The property needs maintenance badly. Broken chairs to sit on, some had holes in them. The exterior of the building was falling apart. It had trash by the doors and back of the building by our slider door. We had a beautiful view of the water which was nice.
