Was a good place to stay in the middle of the center grand via , clean , the staff was kind and welcoming!!! The only things was the AC cuz it was a little hot . But beside that ,everything was great

The place is in the middle of the center. You can reach everywhere by walking. CarrefourSA market is near and open 24/7. The room is a little bit smell bad. The staff was very helpful and kind.

You get what you pay for honestly. A bed to sleep in a prime location but that’s about it. I had a beautiful view outside of my window as well. However this building had many issues that genuinely made me worried. I was on the top floor, and there is a tiny elevator that takes you up and down but there is no way to alarm someone if it gets stuck, and it is only a matter of time until it does. Secondly was the lack of fire suppression systems, smoke detectors, carbon monoxide detectors, and so on. If there were ever a fire in this building there’s no way the top floor guests could escape in time. I saw frayed, shoddy, exposed wiring on the ceilings throughout, possible why I was concerned of a fire escape plan in the first place. Lastly, the room was incredibly and uncomfortably hot, I was waking up drenched in sweat, although there was a ceiling fan that hardly had any effect. Before this I was staying in a hostel which I honestly slept better in, what a shame.

The rooms were clean and the staff were helpful. However, one downside was the lack of luggage storage. I had a two-hour wait before my flight, and it would have been very convenient to leave my luggage securely at the hotel during that time. It’s a shame, as having this option would greatly benefit guests waiting to travel to their next destination.

The room was decent and toilets were clean but once I turned the fan on, a huge pile of dust showered upon. They didn't clean the fan blades at all. The whole room filled up with dust and it did not help with my allergies. Other than that, the location is elite!

For a one-night stay with a late check-in and early departure, this place worked great for me. The location is amazing, and I really appreciated the 24-hour staff at the door. I arrived in Madrid early in the evening and had an early morning departure, so it was the perfect setup for a quick stay. I booked last minute and somewhat rushed through the process, so I missed that the bathrooms were shared. The property did have a kitchen, but when I travel, I prefer to eat out and experience the local food scene rather than cook. Personally, I would not choose this property for a longer multi-day stay because I prefer having a private bathroom. That said, the building itself was beautiful and had incredible views.

The Building is an older building, classically beautiful but rooms have shared bathrooms down the corridor with poor lighting. You cannot tell if one of the bathrooms is occupied until you try the door, if you push too hard you can walk in on someone or they walk in on you. The reception Team are absolutely lovely and as I said it is a classically beautiful building, it does need a lot of tender loving care (TLC) It is very centrally located, so great for getting around Madrid This accommodation suits students but sorry to say not for me on my next Madrid trip. Thank you to all the Team on Reception and Cleaning Team you do an awesome job with what you have

Smelt like piss all the time and the showers didn’t have warm or hot water, stayed two days only had one shower because didn’t want to spend time in smelly cold shower bathroom! Good location though, right in the centre so easy to get to prominent places

Rooms are worn down, there’s no room service either. Bathrooms were also worn down but mostly clean, often without soap. With only 3 bathrooms per floor you have to time your showers. Facing the noisy street and non-automatic lights in the hallway did affect the quality of rest. Staff was friendly

The Gran Vía location has charm, and the price looks appealing. Unfortunately, that’s where the positives end. We weren’t told at or before check-in about a €10 cash-only deposit for the fan remote — no air conditioning, just a fan. Arriving late with no cash meant a sweaty first night and an ATM hunt the next morning. Three bathrooms on our floor: one had no toilet, one had an unusable shower, and the third had a broken shower. None had hooks or shelves. The building has a single lift, which was in use by housekeeping for much of our stay — we were on the eighth floor. The room has frosted glass doors onto the hallway, so light and noise pour in constantly. On our last night, a neighbour’s room light was left on until 3AM. The windows onto Gran Vía look great but offer no sound insulation, and with no AC, sleeping through a warm Madrid night is genuinely difficult. Cheap, yes. Worth it? Not for us.

The room was small, but comfortable. No AC, but the ceiling fan kept me cool. The kitchen was well stocked as far as I was able to see (I didn’t cook). The reception staff were great. The place was clean. Location is awesome. I’d stay there again.
