The Bromley Court Hotel

"We stayed at the Bromley Court Hotel while visiting family in Forest Hill. The hotel is a great base for South London in general. It's a little outside the centre of Bromley but very quiet and a real plus was that the hotel has lots of parking. Our room was pretty standard but clean and comfortable. The hotel has a super restaurant with very friendly staff - we had an evening meal and our breakfasts there, all excellent. One of the standout features of the hotel is its beautiful gardens - great for an after dinner drink and wander. We will definitely stay again when we are in London."

"Stay here many times. Booked tge Bridal Suite. Only to be told on the day of arrival. The bed was broken!!!!. PS There was a wedding on!!! I asked the newly weds at breakfast. They the 4 poster Suite was great. NOT IMPRESSED. The room wasn't the issue. Just a lie!!!"

"We really liked the convenience factor for the wedding we were attending in Eridge. The rooms (x3) were basic with a king bed ( a Superking would have fitted) , two old looking arm chairs ( from a care home?) a VERY modern glass desk and modern oak headboard. The paint colours on the walls were nice, but the carpet was a sort of light charcoal (sensible rather than pretty) and the huge Roman blind was a strong cream with two strips of dark brown either side. It was as if three different people had separately decorated the room! Rather odd, we felt. The shower had waves of hotter and colder water, which made for a bit of excitement in the mornings …. Breakfast was very good; they brought me a freshly sliced avocado on toast, rather than risk the ready mixed variety’s strength of chilli."

"Overall we were happy with our stay. The outside if the hotel and grounds are pretty, the food in the evening and morning was to a very high standard. We stayed in a very good sized suite, which pleasantly surprisingly had 2 bathrooms with matching showers, toilet and bath. On the whole, the staff were polite and accommodating to our requests. The reason for 4 stars, there were elements of the room and dining room which could do with some tlc. Paint chipping off skirting boards, damage to one of our baths. And dining area cleanliness wasn't as pristine as it could potentially be - stain on curtain where we were sitting, stain on breakfast menu card, cobwebs on upper wall towards ceiling and stickiness and coffee stains on edge of bar. There was at least one wedding happening in our time there so totally appreciate staff were busy but there were frequently times when staff were standing together near bar, yet there were multiple tables, inside and out, which hadn't been cleared of dirty glasses etc. And given there was a fridge in the room perhaps it would have been a nice touch to have fresh milk for tea coffee and for the complimentary water to be in the fridge too. All in all, it felt like this hotel had so much potential to be outstanding but it was in need of management with high standards to give it the care it deserves."

"Overall we had a good stay. Some staff were very helpful (e.g. reception, especially the blonde lady that was in training and at the bar above reception), others not to much (e.g. the dining restaurant where service was very slow). The rooms were clean although there was a small amount of dust on the TV stand. Generally the room was well furnished, just a couple of finishing touches missing. There weren’t any bath robes in the rooms and it wasn’t clear how to obtain them, though we saw other guests by the pool wearing some. The TV also said every room had a mini bar but ours didn’t. We found the instructions / signage on how to use the pool wasn’t super clear but worked out how it worked eventually. The cooked breakfast was excellent and would recommend it, though the continental selection could have had more variety. We would stay again."
