The welcome and the staff were excellent. Breakfast very good and massive. Appreciate it is a very old building that maintains its character but feel it needs some updating particularly the ensuite.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
The staff were absolutely amazing, me and my partner stayed for the weekend for a wedding. I felt very welcomed, and as though we had known each other for years! For that reason alone we are definitely going back. The food is great, fresh and hot! The rooms are quaint, and well presented. Initially there were a few issues which could not be helped, the staff were so attentive and apologetic, that we felt that they couldn’t have done more. So recommend this place, just for the staff alone!!
Lovely friendly welcome, room was clean & comfortable with beautiful view over the Quay.
Friendly helpful staff, good selection of drinks in the pub.
Great catch of the day evening meal & very good wide selection breakfast.
Will definitely be returning.

Nice place to stay in Maldon.
Great location with friendly staff
From the time we arrived until we left we had the very best of times.
Clean room, great staff, Kieran, Johnny and Summer were awesome. And overall the food was absolutely delicious.. from breakfast through to and including the Sunday toast with delicious cauliflower cheese!! Highly recommended
Nice room , however my fault as no parking and breakfast not until 9am which was a bit late. It was nice I rushed it down, Also no evening meal on Tuesday but I went into town nearby.
Ok all round.

A great little get away. Kieran and the team were brilliant, made us feel at home.
15th century building with the charm & quirks you would expect. Hotel is right on the water and we had a lovely view from our room. Location of hotel was great just a short walk to the high street with lots of shops , bars and restaurants. Also a stones throw away from promenade park. The best thing about our stay was the staff. Kieran, Jess and the team are fabulous they made us feel so welcome and they were super helpful, nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was amazing, good choice and quality ingredients. Came as quests and felt like we left as friends, we will be back ! Thanks for a great stay

Quirky, low ceilings and very steep stairs. Enjoyed our stay. Brilliant location.
