Stayed in suite room July 2026. On plus side, room was spacious and mostly clean and it was a short walk to downtown Manchester. But roof shingles were disintegrating and chips of it littered the deck. Shower had some black mildew. Sofa and chairs had the hardest cushion of any upholstered furniture I've sat in. Coffee maker unusable due to water left in it that promoted some kind of mold in tank. My request for new coffee maker and another set of towels was ignored. Indoor pool has lots of peeling paint and outdoor pool needed skimming - saw a plastic cup floating in it. Complimentary breakfast was not as good as typical chain. Disappointing stay.

They noticed i had a 13 year old daughter and 9 year old son in toe. The upgrade to a suíte was complimentary and close to the pool. Definitely suggest this place. Breakfast was good and everything is close. We really enjoyed our stay.

We stayed at the Palmer House years ago and this visit was not as good. The hotel appears run down, the English muffins for breakfast were stale and there was a man hanging outside of his room two doors down from us shirtless and smoking. The staff was lovely and very nice.

AC did not work. Temp in room was over 85. Front desk told us it was a whole resort problem which was not true after speaking to other guests. They could not fix the problem or give us another room. Toilet did not flush. My husband had to fix chain. Sink did not drain. We did not stay and got a refund.

I would definitely stay here again, but the property itself is a little run down. I'm sure that at one time the place was beautiful, but it appears that years of deferred maintenance could be taking its toll. The once beautiful marble walkways all around the place seem to be falling into disrepair, and the maroon canopies that cover several road-facing windows are now sun faded and sagging. While the walls, ceilings,and floors of our room seem to have been recently renovated , it looks like they just moved the same old nicked, scratched, and stained furniture back into the room. But the thing that was of most concern to me was that the Cable remote wasn't paired to the TV, making watching a World cup game very difficult that evening. The one saving grace was that, on a 90+ degree day, the pool was cool, clean, and used surprisingly little by the other guests. Also, the staff at the front desk were very polite and professional, both upon check-in and check-out .

I do not normally give a mediocre review but I had to in this case. The view was great and the room had been redecorated not that long ago I feel but the bed had to be decades old. We got very poor sleep as the bed was sunken in in the middle into a big valley it wasn’t anything the front desk could have solved. So on our second night we put one of the pillows between us so we didn’t roll to the middle ( we are not heavy people either ) and we slept a little better. It also was very hard. The curtains were hanging off one corner and wouldn’t stay closed in the middle. There was a stick on the bathroom floor and the shower curtain also needed replacing as it was once white but very stained. The couch was a nice feature but cushion was also misshapen. The flooring walls and other amenities were ok. Could use some options for charging. TV only worked after I plugged in the HDMI cord that was hanging down the back. Don’t think I would return unfortunately.

I did not like the fact to have to drive to the pool because it was raining. The gym very outdated. No water in the outside hot tub. Breakfast did not look good so we skipped it. The pond dock was falling apart, the boat was half sunk with cans littered in it. The pond itself needs upkeep. Ice machine was broke and the bar wasn't open. No microwave in the room. The rooms are nice just to many cons.

Check in was easy. Room was clean. Bed was comfortable. You can sit on the porch just beside your unit. You can sit on the patio sets with the propane fire pit. I needed to do some computer work and had to go out to the patio since there was not a table in the room. The wind made it difficult. The microwave had a special way to open it after cooking. A suggestion would be to place a note next to the microwave with instructions to hit stop button first, then push the open button in order to retrieve cooked item. It was pleasant to visit with others at the patio fire pit. Otherwise it was nice and relaxing. Breakfast was simple and nourishing, especially nice when someone else cooks. Insert smile here. We visited the little trails nearby and found a pond. There are games and sports equipment you can use, in the lobby. Overall it was a reasonable stay.

The floor between the bathroom and the bedroom had huge holes in it, which was dangerous; the bathtub still had soap residue, making it slippery; and the king-sized bed was so worn out that my entire side sagged toward the floor. Let’s just say that for $260 USD, I was really unimpressed—not to mention the stains on the wall and curtains, the details of which I’ll spare you. Room 15

Gentleman that checked us in was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was typical continental breakfast and was good. Had two rooms, first room was fine. Clean but air conditioning did not work. Second room, heat did not work and our first night was cool out. They did move the second room. Heat worked well in the new room, however had dead flies throughout. Pool and hot tub in need of a cleaning. Forget the gym equipment. It’s all rusted and in disrepair. Would I stay here again, no. But it is what it is, and it is cheaper than anything else immediately around. Overall property is in need of a major overhaul/update.
