"Clean, convenient and met all our needs. A great place to stay with way access to supermarket, the sea and the village of Kalyves. Everyone we met was kind and friendly and helpful… even during the power outage. We felt part of the family. There are some steep steps so if you struggle with that… maybe not the most perfect place but for us it was perfect. Would highly recommend. "

"Villa Palena was everything and more we had hoped it would be. The villa is beautiful and suits all ages. It’s so well laid out and the Villa owners have clearly thought of everything. Nothing is too much trouble for the property managers and they were instrumental in helping us organise a few things beforehand such as a yoga teacher to the premises for our group, an exceptional caterer on a couple of nights, boat trips and an amazing bike ride on e-bikes for the day. Within a 5 minute walk to a beautiful beach, shallow waters with very reasonably priced Sunbeds (recommend booking these when you arrive at the beach to guarantee a sunbed). Lovely restaurants close by. You won’t be disappointed. "

"We had apartment 25 which we had last year. All of the apartments are sold, this one has been refurbished. Comfy bed, good air conditioning. There was a bit of confusion about cleaning the apartment, I ended up doing it as there was only 1 key for the apartment. Nadia was very helpful, she gave me clean towels, sheets etc when l asked for them and showed me how to do my washing. I was also provided with a brand new airer to dry the clothes. Lovely view from the apartment. There was a sponge, washing up liquid and tea towel, but no soap or shower gel in the bathroom, so remember to bring some or buy it at the local shops."

"All in all excellent, ticked absoloutely all boxes for our requirements. Needed a "Staging Post" as early check out from holiday accomodation and very late flight time. On arrival reception staff very pleasant and helpful, in fact our room was ready for us earlier than normal time. Ground floor room, so no problems with heavy suitcases, very pleasant garden and clean pool with basic loungers and shade if required. Room lovely, exceptionally clean, with all facilities in consideration its ecconomic cost (suspect had been recently refurbed). Drinks available from onsite bar, only downside possibly was food available only by mobile take way delivery service during day/evening time and no close shops. Electronically contacted reception 2 days before arrival requesting taxi be booked at set time for our departure to airport from Areti. had electronic confirmation from Areti that they had kindly done so, taxi to airport arrived for us spot on our requested time (was expensive at 25 euro's for short journey, but taxi's do have a minimum costing, so for convenience found cost perfectly acceptable). Obviously very close to airport so aircraft noise. Would I book Areti again? definitely YES."

"The gratitude and love we feel in our hearts for Manolis, Aliki, Dimitris, Adonis and there team is above and beyond for all the care and love they showered over us on our 2 week stay in there exquisite villa. When you first arrive your breath is taken away at the expansive views of Soudas Bay, gorgeous flowers, olive trees, fruit trees, vegetables gardens and the amazing pool are a WOW. The villa is so beautiful, with everything you could desire, no details were forgotten. Everything was perfect. The beds are amazing, so comfortable, 1st class. Dimitris the manager is so kind, so thoughtful, was there making sure we were supported in every way. We are so incredibly grateful to you. Our hearts smile when we think of you. Manolis and Aliki the owners are so kind, so caring you will feel so loved up by them The love they have put in to their villa, is breathtaking. We are beyond grateful for your kindness, love and care. We love you.Etouri the concierge company is fantastic. Adonis was our concierge, he went above and beyond to make my 60th BD trip amazing. He organising restaurant reservations, transfers, boat trips, dinner parties, musicians, dancers, massages, yoga, shopping trips, you name it he did it. You are the kindest soul Adonis. Thank you. We are forever grateful to you. I can say this was a thousand star trip in every way. Thank you from our hearts to you all. We will love you all forever "

"Perfect location with stunning views across Almyrida, we watched the sunset each evening from our balcony. Beaches & restaurants were just a few minutes walk away. Restaurants offered a delicious array of dishes, lots of fish and Cretan style salads. Lovely sandy beaches and shallow sea, perfect for a dip to cool off. We took a taxi to Chania Old Town one day which we would definitely recommend, you can also take the bus there from Almyrida. Just as feedback, the room could do with a full length mirror but everything else was perfect for our stay. We had a perfect, relaxing week and will definitely be back! "
