Nice quiet area and lovely country pub, good food and a selection of beers. Landlord was super helpful and explained everything. Would stay again and recommend.
The cleanliness of the accommodation was absolutely excellent. The landlord Paul was super helpful, and managed to order us a cab to attend the wedding we were there for.
Friendly landlord & staff all very helpful during our weekend break. Drinks and food all reasonably priced. Ideal place if you are looking to just chill and relax.
A very comfortable nights stay ahead of skydiving locally.
The meal and drinks the night before in the bar were good and there was a friendly atmosphere from the staff. The landlord couldn’t do enough for us.
Started off being told by the owner we arrived an hour late and check-in was between 2-8pm, he said this in a very rude manner and clearly had a few drinks. Me and my partner sat down and had a drink while waiting for the room, after waiting a while we asked the owner is our room ready which he responded “oh I forgot”.
Got up to our room which was an alright old looking room however realised not long after the bed was broken and broke even more once we laid down.
He then barges in at 9am, without knocking, and demands us to leave the premises even though it clearly says 10am check out.
Lovely looking pub but horrible owners. Definitely would not recommend to anyone.
Stayed at Anchor Inn for one night with my wife before going to the nearby Skydiving Centre in the morning.
The room was clean, food and drinks at the bar downstairs good, also location’s great if you’re looking for a quiet place. They even have some beautiful singing birds in their yard - a really nice place to eat outside.
The owner is a very pleasant person.
Would definitely recommend this place.
But bear in mind that they don’t serve breakfast. We bought oatmeal in a shop next door and were kindly given bowls and spoons at the bar so that we could eat in the room. Huge thanks for that.
The Manager and staff were extremely helpful, The room was clean, and comfortable. The only thing I would say was that it would have been nice to have another chair in the room.
The staff were friendly and very helpful. The room had great facilities, tea, coffee, biscuits and bottled water. There was also a sky digital box which I have never had before. Bathroom was newly refurbished and a joy. The food was reasonably priced and very good quality. I will be staying here again.

The drifting anchor
The Anchor Inn suited us for our stay - although it is a little out of the centre of March town itself. We were comfortable there - although there were slight difficulties due to the fact the Manager and running of the Pub itself was about to change hands. But as my 91 year old mum commented that should not have meant that they had run out of cereals! The Housekeeper/Bar Manager was very friendly and helpful which made up for the slight deficiencies of the Inn. We wish them a better future with a new manager ...........

The Anchor Inn was suffering during my visit due to the change of managers that was in progress. Marstons have a policy where the manager provides nearly all the equipment and the previous one had left, but the new one had not been appointed, so the obviously loyal staff were having to make the best of a difficult situation in order to make guests comfortable. The bottom line is that with staff like that, I'd be very happy to stay there again. I hope to give 5 stars next time.
nice big rooms very clean good facilities just a shame pub not doing too well and closed at 5pm due to lack of people a real shame as we wanted to chill out with a few drinks
