Hemingway House of Marco Island, short term rental

From the moment you enter the home, it feels like relaxation.
Enjoy the lovely view, have a nice drink on the upstairs balcony or take a swim in the pool.
The sunrise over the water is particularly captivating. That`s when you have a good chance to see the dolphins come by and greet you.

The house is so comfortable, with bedrooms with a king-size bed, closets, TVs, attached bathrooms, oversized balcony upstairs with a swing couch overseeing Bimini Bay.
The nightly rate is based on ten people in the party, the house sleeps up to 12 people in beds and 2 additional people on sleeper couches, however, any additional people ( children as well ) beyond 10 people there will be a charge of 50 dollars plus tax per additional gueste per night. Thank you for your understanding.
Upstairs there is hardwood flooring and the downstairs has tile flooring.

Attractive ceiling fans as well as comfortable lighting.

Very comfortable relaxing atmosphere, Key West style home with wraparound porches and exquisite interior.

The house is in a quiet, residential neighborhood. It is not suitable for having loud parties on the premise, therefore people who want to enjoy a wonderful quiet vacation are welcome.
Papergoods such as toilet paper, kitchen rolls will be provided for the initial days, but it is understood, as the week goes on the guests will purchase their own goods.

This home is NOT suitable for loud parties and festivities. The city of Marco Island has put new noise ordinance in place which will have them send the police out to write tickets.
Please no loud music around the pool and preferably have everyone enjoy the inside after 8 pm.

No garden furniture go into the pool since it hurts the surface of the pool which can be very costly to repair and the tenants will be responsible for this expense.

We offer one space for your car in the garage and two spaces in front of the garages. If you have a fourth vehicle it needs to go to another location.

To our boater guests we have to ask you to bring the trailer to a different location since there is no room in front of the garage to accommodate a trailer and your cars. Marco Marinas can help to store your trailer.

The property was exceptional! We had 8 girls very comfortably at the home. Marlene the host was so kind and welcoming, making sure all was going well. The house had such gorgeous charm, perfectly designed and in a great location. The pool was gorgeous and the house was well prepped with everything you needed for a fun beach weekend. Would highly recommend!

Perfect stay in everyway

The neighborhood was very, very nice. The home was located very close to the grocery store so that was convenient. Inside the home was just like it shows online everything was so nice. It was clean convenient in every way. Outside was nice chairs and tables and lounge chairs. The pool was excellent. We just had a wonderful time and I would suggest anybody looking to wanting to go to Marco Island should stay at the Hemingway House. Marlene went over and above for us and she is a wonderful manager of the property. There were five couples we each had our own bedroom with a king bed and our own bathroom. So it just was a wonderful vacation. We were there for a week.

Beautiful home and property. Some appliances need to be updated. The pool and hot tub were fabulous. Our family truly enjoyed that area immensely. The bedrooms were big and the beds were very comfortable. We had a wonderful stay and would come back again.

Very relaxing and family-friendly

This is our second year that we stayed at this home. We love it so much! Beautiful views! Very spacious and comfortable. They go above and beyond with stocking the kitchen. Very good at communicating too!

Wonderful Spring Break

Hemingway House was perfect for our extended family with our adult children and young grandchildren. There was plenty of space and privacy for everyone with their own bedrooms and bathrooms. The pool and hot tub were a big hit and we were in it everyday! There were floaties and beach toys available for us to use. Marlene was super responsive and helpful. There were two pack and plays and high chairs set up for us when we arrived which was very helpful! The kitchen was well stocked and we also used the outdoor grill for dinners. The location was great and a short drive to the beach, grocery stores and restaurants. We enjoyed our stay and hope to be back next year!

Raise Your Hands!

My husband and I hosted our children and their families at the Hemingway House this past week. It was delightful! The bedrooms and bathrooms were very practically situated and stocked. We had many books, games and outdoor items to use during our stay. Thank you for allowing us this stay in your lovely home.

The property provided quick access by boat to fishing. It had great amount of space for our family group of nine, from 10-year-old to grandparent, to be together or have space of our own.

Wonderful Getaway for Retired Siblings

- Our group of 8 siblings/spouses in our 70's stayed in the Hemingway House for a week in March. We were thrilled with the layout, decor, amenities and location of the house. The 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms were perfect for our group. (I should mention that one upstairs bedroom had a funky setup with the sink and shower actually in the bedroom- it was fine for a single member of our group). The pool was delightful as was the hot tub. The kitchen was well-supplied,and we did prepare several of our meals there. A few of us enjoyed using the bikes to ride around the island. My husband loved being able to fish from the dock on the property. The manager was very responsive to questions. As a VRBO Super Host myself, I noticed the cleanliness, thoughtfulness and hospitality throughout.

Loved The Hemingway House!

My husband and I have been renting a condo in MARCO ISLAND for 10 years. This year our children and grandchildren visited but our condo was not large enough so we rented The Hemingway House. Everything was FABULOUS!! Bedrooms are spacious and private and living areas both inside and by the pool are well appointed. The pool and hot tub were well maintained, clean and very warm. We will be back next year! We had no issues and the manager Marlene Church stopped by to meet us and was very helpful! It was a wonderful experience!

Great time!

The house was clean and had plenty of room for our group of 10 friends. We enjoyed the pool and outdoor seating area as well as the well-equipped kitchen. We had a wonderful time!

Good Location - Property Needs Repairs

Sliding glass doors would not lock. Concern that 4 year old child (we had 4 under 4) could get up during the night and open the sliding glass door, (because she does this at her home), and could fall into the pool. Dishwasher upper jet had a piece missing which meant only the bottom half would get clean. Not enough towels or hooks to hang damp clothing and towels. Outdoor lighting not working as well as other issues. Our family made the best of it, but will not rent this property again. Marlene, the host, was wonderful, but owner was non responsive.

We had an amazing three days during our stay at Marco Island. The property is even better than the description! We had plenty of space and it was a great place to share with friends. Wonderful Property

Relaxing in Paradise

Our family enjoyed this house tremendously. Great place to decompress from stressful jobs. Beautiful, wide water view from 2 of the upstairs bedrooms, master bath, and balcony. Also nice water view from kitchen and family room. Husband preferred staying at house/pool vs going to beach. New landscaping since pictures taken. House is very well stocked. Marlene is an outstanding host - very kind and responsive. Only disappointment was the bikes as they had a lot of wear and some rust on them. Marco isn't great for biking anyway, so we never used them.

We had a perfect long weekend with friends. The house was very comfortable for a group with a perfect location and amenities. We were able to enjoy the pool, hot tub, bikes and kayaks. The beds were very comfortable and we found the house to be well supplied. Thank you Margo for all of your help and I highly recommend this property!

Great place!

It’s a beautiful home, perfect for a large group. The pool and hot tub and backyard area is ideal to hang out. It’s located centrally on the island, easy to get to restaurants and grocery store. Bikes are provided, which was really fun. I would definitely stay here again!

Perfect Marco Island family get away

We made a last-minute switch from Anna Maria Island to find this super house on Marco Island as a result of the hurricane. The host was responsive, communicative, and accommodating. The house is perfect for a large family (3 adult kids and spouses), with five bedrooms each with its own full bath. The pool is well maintained and large with great lounging areas. We enjoyed the patio, the lanai and ability to drop kayaks into the cove right behind the house. The sunrise from the balcony is a fantastic view. The kitchen was well stocked. The host struck a great balance between giving us our space but remaining responsive anytime we needed something.

Perfect Staycation!

This was the perfect property for our Staycation. Just about everything we needed was already in the house; including floats for the pool, beach towels, and Champagne :-) Clean as a whistle too! We would stay here again; for sure.
