In the middle of Mariposa and very walkable to a shops and few places to eat. Nothing fancy but clean and well-maintained. Recommended for a simple stay in the cool little town.
A no-contact facility. Nice room, clean and comfortable.

Clean remodeled room. Never saw a staff member the hole time I was there. Love this little old mining town. Best and cheapest place to eat is place called the Hideout Saloon. Exit Mother Lode Lodge and go right. turn right at gas station. Small sign on the left. Down stairs. Friendly staff.

Everything in the town of Mariposa is close by and within walking distance from the hotel. The room was clean and had all the amenities to make it comfortable.
This little boutique motel was a terrific spot to stay on our way to Yosemite. The owners are on site and always working on upgrades and cleanliness. The pool was very large , deep and the perfect temperature for swimming. We would recommend a stay here to anyone. Shops and restaurants are walking distance away
I had to check myself in so no one could recommend a place to eat. I had not used a lock box to get key before and had a little problem opening it in the dark.
The facility was nice.
A simple, clean lodge perfect for a pit stop before heading into Yosemite! We checked in around 11pm, and an envelope with our name on it (along with a nice little hand-drawn picture!) that included our room information. Nobody was stationed at the office but 24/7 phone service was available and the nice lady gave us all the info we needed. Doors are unlocked, windows are open and keys are found within the room after we enter. I’m assuming this is a pretty safe town that they are able to do that. The room is very clean and my favorite part is that the pillows are not uncomfortably puffy/stuffy like many other hotels, so I slept really well! Love the atmosphere of the space; we kept our windows open for a while to let the amazing oak aroma in the air come into our room before we closed for the night.
This was the cutest and best place I’ve stayed at. Very affordable and worth the money. They are about 32 miles from Yosemite and the little town is walkable and fun. I recommend this place to everyone. They have a really cool museum also. I know I’ll be back for sure.
The air conditioning unit was ridiculously loud, making it hard to both keep the room cool and also sleep. Also the window in the bathroom and on the front of the unit didn’t lock. Finally, there were bugs in our room. Would not recommend.

The bed is so bad it was making a squeaking sound every time I move. Couldn’t sleep at all.
Great place to stay while visiting Yosemite National Park

Well, we had never been to Mariposa, and chose the Motherlode lodge to stay for 2 nights. We drove 14 hours straight, and arrived a little earlier than expected, so we parked in their empty lot. I emailed the property to see if there was any possible way that we could check in early. The email came back that they might be able to get us in at 2pm. We were completely exhausted, so we just parked in the shade. There was no one. We saw no people. About 1130am, an older lady came over, annoyed and said can i help you. We explained we emailed asking for early check in, we drove 14 hours, so sorry but we were just going to wait until we could check in. She was a bit... annoyed maybe? She explained that they sell out every night with only 14 rooms. We felt like we were an inconvenience to this woman. Her tone was not welcoming, BUT ~ She did go and clean a room, and came back with our check in info. So for that we were very thankful. In the end, she helped us tremendously... but maybe could have been a bit more... friendly. Now, lets talk about the room. It was tiny. The door has a 2 inch gap under it, crane flies kept flying in, under it... until we put a towel down on the floor. The bathroom is tiny. The toilet is very low to the floor. They had a cute folded towel though, holding soap. They provided coffee/supplies for that, and that was cool. Pool was closed the whole time we were there. The bed was not comfortable at all, and the matress cover was... absolutely gross.
