The hotel is directly across the street from Gare St. Charles, which makes it very convenient both for arriving by train (or on the train from the airport) and for catching the Metro for getting around Marseille. The area has a grocery store as well as some restaurants and cafés and is a short walk or Metro ride to a number of destinations. The hotel itself is clean and comfortable.

Good hotel across the street from the station

Good hotel with decent rooms and breakfast. Beds comfortable, bathroom clean and functional. Slightly dated around the edges, but overall good. Breakfast decent though the range is not huge.

We should not have booked a hotel near the train station. We felt unsafe in the alleyways and streets around the hotel. There are no French restaurants in the area because the restaurants reflect the diversity of people who migrated to Marseilles.
