"This is most certainly not a 4-star hotel, as Expedia suggests, and it certainly isn;t worth £100 per night. £50 would be overpriced! The rooms are tiny; the TV is about the size of an iPad and doesn't work anyway; there is no bar or restaurant, except for stale bread and mouldy fruit for breakfast; the towels were old and frayed at the ends. I could go on. The property has huge potential, but it doesn't appear that any maintenance has been carried out for years. I would recommend looking...

"Near to the station (& the High Street is almost on your doorstep). Great town & hotel is in easy reach of various attractions (maybe a lick of paint in the room wouldn’t hurt, but beds comfy). We went to a day festival at Vivary Park, which is a 15-20 min walk. It did rain, but everything dried out in our room overnight (Room 40 is above the Boiler Room). We used a fan & opened window. Staff kindly stored our luggage, when we went to lunch before catching a train home. They don’t do food, but loads of places nearby. Plus the staff are lovely & so helpful."

"Wonderful property, enjoyable stay overall. Only frustrations were with not getting the set menu or 20% discount at dinner which was only realised after leaving. Breakfast service needs improving as the tea/coffee station was a drag and menus having pricing was confusing. Booked this hotel so I could get a quiet night of sleep in however our room had the ventilation unit outside the window so didn't get the silence I was excited for. Absolutely recommend the hotel as these issues were just a small inconvenience and most of the staff were incredibly professional and welcoming."

"The hotel was in a good place, not too far from the town centre and also easy to get back onto the M5. It was also good having the free car park with ample spaces. The staff were helpful. The only downfall the mattresses are very soft and when there are 2 of you in bed you both end up rolling into the middle together. The walls are quite thin and we could hear someone in the next room plugging something in and unplugging it again."
