The Barrington Hotel

"The air-conditioning vent in the ceiling was leaking. Therefore, the carpet was wet and multiple spots, and we had to put a small garbage can underneath it to catch the water. The beds were clean and comfortable however, the carpet was a bit smelly. The place could be updated. The room next-door to me had a smelly shower curtain in which they did replace after a few hours. They do not clean the room only after three days so I had to call the desk for more linens. They never arrived. I had to ask the cleaning staff the next day for additional towels and face cloths. The restaurant in the hotel Tempo was very clean had fast service and friendly service at reasonable prices. The food was good as well. It is within walking distance to the waterfront and the casino and various restaurants and attractions around the area."

"Very central, which made our two days of walking easy and accessible for all we wanted to see. Loved the historical yet modern ambiance. Staff were lovely. Bed and pillows were comfortable, lots of towels were provided, bathroom toiletries were lovely & free water bottles were in the room."

"Great gym (I could do almost everything I do at home in a chain gym! Only thing missing for fitness fans is a barbell weight station for squats, bench, deadlifts, etc). The staff was extremely friendly, helpful, and attentive. The restaurant was genuinely tasty. And it’s dog friendly! They even bring lovely raised food dishes, dog beds, and surprise treats!!"

"Très bel hôtel. L’emplacement près du bord du port est très pratique malgré le bruit des camions qui se dirige vers le port des 6 heures le matin. Très propre. Le restaurant adjacent à l’hôtel est très décevant. La piscine était non fonctionnel et quand j’ai réservé cela n’étais pas mentionné. Très décevant surtout que j’avais réservé cet hôtel à cause de la piscine intérieur."

"We had such a great stay at Seacliff!It is such a unique property and house, with so many different little nooks and crannies for you to hang out in and relax. Great for families if you want to have your own space, but also so many great places to come together.Dan has really thought of everything, it is fully stocked and we had such a great timeWe will definitely be back!"

"This home was perfect for our needs and Sue went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed, including an air mattress for one of my nephews to have his own "bed" and use the laundry because our suitcases got soaked on the drive there. Sue went over and above, was quick to respond to all my questions. Truly made our stay feel like a home away from home. All the little extra's she thought of made our stay truly memorable and we are talking about our next trip. It is walking distance to many attractions in Eastern Passage, and shout out to Passage Pizza for encouraging us to try the Donairs (my Mom is from the area but the rest of us grew up in Ontario) they were delicious. All in all one of the best, most relaxing stays I have ever had at a vacation rental."

"Impressed the moment we stepped into the home. Everything was exactly as represented in the advertisement. Clean, organised, fresh and welcoming. Well stocked with thoughtful kitchen, bedroom, livingroom and bathroom amenities; we only needed our own clothes and groceries to settle in and enjoy. Owner was quick to respond to questions and helpfully provided information we needed to prepare for arrival well before we got there. Very comfortable and spacious for 6 people in our group. Home is located in a quiest neighbourhood just minutes from a harbour ferry that provides convenient access to the Halifax harbour front and board walk. It's also located within 10 minutes drive from supermarket, coffee shops, several take out and fast food restaurants, and gas stations. Checkout was a breeze and took only minutes to complete. Definitely well worth the cost for family or multiple couples who want to stay and tour Nova Scotia from the Halifax region."

"The properly was clean and bright, how ever it is advertised as a two bedroom and that’s not completely accurate with the second bedroom being in the living room. We had no choice but to make it work but we wanted a true 2 bedroom."
