"When we checked in, we were told we were upgraded, but it was actually a downgrade from what I paid for. I was bumped out of my room because a large group checked in before me. The room we ended up getting, wasn’t cleaned, when they said it was. The bed was made. But there was food on the floor, toenails, etc. it was pretty awful. The next day when I went down to check in and ask if we could, please have housekeeping come vacuum, a lovely gentleman was kind enough to switch our room and give us an actual upgrade which I wasn’t expecting. So that was very lovely and I was very appreciative of him. That changed the tone of the whole week we were away. Our stay was happier because of that. Other than him, though, I didn’t find the staff very friendly or accommodating. They were quite hands-off. It’s my understanding. Blue Mountain Village has now been purchased by a foreign company, these are rumors, and everything has changed significantly. It was still a lovely trip, everything had increased in price and the new corporation that bought it had added percentages inside the village that you had to pay for anything you purchased. These new fees and percentages did not go to the retailers, they went to the blue Mountain Village corporation. They also now make you pay for parking. We made the best of it and had a lovely stay, but just keep in mind your expectations versus what you may get."

"This is a basic hotel although dated and could use some sprucing up. While we saw housekeeping at various times throughout our stay, there was popcorn left on the floor in the hall heading to our room that had been there when we arrived and still there into the evening when we came back from dinner. We also noticed a heavy layer of dirt on the bathroom fan - while I don't think this is the job of housekeeping, this should have been addressed for maintenance - we did bring it up to the team when we checked out. I do want to say that the staff is very nice. We had noted when we booked that we were celebrating our anniversary. A lovely bottle of wine, some chocolates and a nice note was left in our room - this was a very nice touch and helped make our stay special."

"It was a great weekend. The rooms were all lovely, very clean, decor was very attractive. The entry hall and stairwell into the condo could be freshened up as initial impression is a bit discouraging but once you open the door to the unit it is lovely. the entrance instructions need to be rewritten. They are not accurate. But overall everything was wonderful!!!Heather"

"Location was great, right across from the marina and beach, and within walking distance of the main street of the town. Nice swimming pool and although I didn't use the gym or sauna it was nice that it is available. My room was clean and had a well equiped kitchen. It would be nice if bottled water was available. There was a pop dispenser but no bottled water. As I wasn't driving, a store to purchase extra water was a bit of a walk. I recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a convenient and good location."

"4 minute drive to Blue Mountain Village. Good pool and hot tub. Used both. Unit is nice for two people. Kitchen equipped with all that we needed except there was only one bowl to eat our cereal with so we took turns. Shampoo/Shower gel provided. Nice big deck with chairs and yes you can hear the babbling brook. Building 9 is the furthest one in the complex and pool/tub is at #1 so just a few minutes walk away. We would recommend."
