The house was in a beautiful area with great views of the ocean and Phillip Island. The house was very comfortable with 5 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms in addition to multiple living areas. The backyard was excellent including a basketball ring in addition to a table tennis table in the garage and pool table inside. Balnarring has all the shops and facilities required and Somers has a really good cafe and general store.
Lovely views and lovely big home with plenty of room for all ages.

Liked all the game options on offer (billards, table tennis, darts); liked walking to beach; liked views of phillip island; big kitchen; comfort of beds.
Big house suitable for families. Big yard for kids. Kitchen was massive and well equipped. Views from the balcony also very nice. Very quiet area and lots of parking. The place and decor is a little dated but price reflects that.
A great property
Lots of living area with the lounge, meals area and front and back deck.
Amazing views
Plenty of bedrooms and with 3 toilets made a difference for 10 people.
The owners could do a refresh of the pillows and mattress protectors in the bedrooms.
Overall lovely
A spotlessly clean property, space for various age groups, games room is fun for all, attractive back yard for relaxing or playing. Sea views & semi country quiet, along with very well planned cupboards of any item you may want to use. A clean, safe beach to enjoy, The Somers General for supplies or dont want to cook. Books, huge TV & extra dining setting adjacent to kitchen. Yes, we'll book again.

This is a great property for the family with lots to do, the pool room was a massive hit. The 2 fires were beautiful and definitely required to warm such a big place in winter, take or buy your own firewood. We left some behind in the garage. The proximity to Cerberus for Navy graduations is terrific and the little village of Ballnaring has a great IGA, fish and chip shop and a lovely Italian restaurant. The downside of this property is no linen, which makes it hard when you are travelling interstate, and while it's mentioned on the site, when they say no linen they mean NO linen not even a tea towel, made doing dishes difficult and even getting things out of the oven hard. Unfortunately, the property was not as clean as we'd expected bedrooms required vacuuming and some of the mattress protectors and doonas were NOT clean :( Overall our experience was a good one and should these few issues be addressed we would definitely stay here again.
This is the second time we have stayed at the house as a family group. The size, location and general amenities of the property are great and we really enjoyed both our stays (3 nights each time). There is one jarring note, occurring both times, which we found unusual, being a dearth of cleaning materials and bathroom commodities. Our first visit, there was not a skerrick of soap in the soft soap containers in any of the bathrooms or kitchen. There was no dishwashing detergent, dishwasher tablets or rubbish bin bags. This time around, there was a small amount of soap (possibly left from the previous occupants), dishwashing detergent was provided along with ONE dishwashing tablet, laid out like an offering next to the kitchen sink. The rubbish bin had a bin bag, but that was the only one we could find. Disappointingly, for the three toilets, there was approximately two thirds of a roll of toilet paper in one, the last remnants of a roll in another and nothing in the third. We have been having family gatherings like this four times a year for over 10 years and have never encountered this sort of penny pinching before...perhaps it is a policy of the company managing the property. My comments are not to dissuade you from booking the property - it would be a wonderful place for your next family holiday and I happily recommend it to you...just be prepared! (If this is a deliberate policy, it might be an idea to mention this on the website, same as the need to bring your own linen).
Plenty of space, large kitchen, enough seating for all to enjoy meals together or to watch a movie, so many activities basketball ring, footy, cricket pitch, table tennis, pool table... nice walk to the beach and lots on offer in the surrounding areas for day outings.
Enjoyed our stay very much, all of us including dog. A couple of chairs in billiard room would be nice to escape the upstairs crowd when you have a full house like we did 7 people.
Otherwise extremely well set up, easy to clean, lovely spot - the parrots came for food! But decided to peck the railing
The house is fantastic but your cleaners are letting you down. There were mouse droppings in the bottom of the saucepan cupboard and unemptied bins in 2 bathrooms. Yes, the guests are supposed to empty the bins but the cleaners need to check that it’s been done!

Reviewer Comments:
The house was in a great spot and exactly what was advertised...besides one thing. There was no gas. A few days before our stay the rental company reached out to let us know there was works being done at the house and that 2/4 gas burners were out of action. Given that we had 10 guests staying and it was our wedding weekend, we had bigger fish to fry than two gas burners. However on arrival it became apparent that not only two has burners were out of action, there was no gas at all, not even a gas meter. We still had the best weekend, and the house did the job, but it was a little frustrating to try to cook scrambled eggs on the BBQ when we realised there was no cooktop.
Great spot for a weekend away. Close to beach. House well equipped with plenty of options for entertainment if weather not good.

unimperssed with cleanliness of the property on arrival.
Dinning chairs where rickerty to the point we could not use.
we had 10 staying, they only provided 2 partial rolls of toilet paper and one roll left on the dinning table.
Finally the straw that broke us was the used female sanitry products left in the bins in the toilet and in the en-suite. The bins had no liners!!!
Disgracefull !!!!!!!!
We had really rainy weather for our stay so this property was perfect for keeping the kids entertained. Lots of room for a couple of families. A great weekend away - thanks!
What a wonderful house, it suited our family unit perfectly. The house has everything you could ask for. The yard was great for kids to play in, the different balconies suited either morning coffee or afternoon drinks with sea views.
Location wise, such an easy stroll to the beach, although you may need to slow down to allow the Echidna's to cross the road. So easy to pop up to the local shopping village for a coffee or last minute groceries. Quiet street.
Thank you, we'll be back
