I rarely leave reviews, but this stay was so awful I feel obligated to warn others. From the moment we arrived, it was clear this hotel is NOT managed properly.
Let’s start with the bathroom — absolutely disgusting. There was dried urine around the toilet like it hadn’t been cleaned in days. Completely unacceptable for any hotel, let alone one that charges like it’s upscale.
Next, the front desk staff — or should I say, the invisible front desk staff. The young woman who was supposed to be helping guests was nowhere to be found when we arrived. When she finally appeared, she was behind the counter rearranging her shirt — a shirt that was wildly inappropriate for a professional setting, by the way — and seemed totally uninterested in doing her actual job. Throughout the stay, she was consistently absent any time we needed assistance.
We called the front desk multiple times asking for extra towels, and not once did anyone answer. Their website and signage claim “24-hour front desk service,” but that’s clearly a lie. If you need anything after check-in, good luck — you’re on your own.
IHG should be ashamed to have this property under its name. We will never stay here again and strongly suggest you look elsewhere if you’re planning a trip to Memphis.
