Cabin in Mentone

Great place to stay with your spouse and a furry friend. Super close to hiking trails at DeSoto and only a short drive to Cloudland Canyon for great hiking. And just a few minutes drive to downtown Mentone for cute shopping and great local food.

We enjoyed our second stay at this very private and cozy little cabin. We enjoy that it is close to everything you will need and like to do. The cabin was very nice, off the road so it was quiet there. I enjoyed staying there, I would highly recommend this cabin. I didn’t go upstairs but I think there were two or three beds there. The cabin was clean, I slept well, the host gave excellent information The outside lights were on when I arrived Thursday night. I will try to stay there again.

Quiet and peaceful in the woods cabin

We enjoyed spending Thanksgiving with our dogs at this peaceful little cabin with a wrap around porch. We loved that it was close to hiking and sleepy little towns Mentone and Fort Payne. We saw multiple deer and buck the morning we left. Thank you for your hospitality again. Mandeville, Louisiana

Great Cozy Cabin So Close to Nature

We had a great, long weekend in this cabin. Very up-to-date, everything seemed brand new. Great location for hiking and enjoying nature - practically right next to DeSoto State Park and a very short drive to Little River Canyon National Preserve, both with remarkable waterfalls. Close enough to Mentone, Valley Head, and Fort Payne for carry-out or dine-in restaurants. Comfortable furniture and useful kitchen. The wrap-around deck is a great place to have morning coffee. Fantastic for couples or small families. Our senior dog had a great time too! Would stay here again, wished we’d planned for a couple more days this time!

So peaceful, perfect weekend getaway!

Our family recently moved to Alabama and have been excited to explore the State Parks. This cabin is so close to Desoto State Park and Desoto Falls! Perfect to do some hiking during the day and relax in the quiet mountains at night. We visited Fort Payne as well. There is a lot to see within a short distance of the cabin, which was perfect to keep impatient kids/teens entertained! My husband and I enjoyed the porch with coffee and a sunrise. We also enjoyed the beautiful sunset views and the fire at night. our children loved playing on the porch and exploring the property. We will certainly be suggesting this cabin to family who visit us all the way from Minnesota!

Mentone Cabin

My Wife and I were in the area checking out some waterfalls. This Cabin is only about 5-10 minutes away from Desoto State Park. This Cabin is secluded and is not the easiest to find. Make sure you listen to the owner about gps not being accurate. We did find it without bugging the owner at 11 pm. The cabin owner was very helpful with everything and very pleasant to work with. The Cabin is very nice and described very accurately. The Cabin is a very nice play to stay with your pets.

The Perfect Place!

What a wonderful lil cabin you have here in the woods! Exactly what I needed! It's clean, simple and quiet surroundings make it the perfect setting for the mind to be in creation. A fully stocked kitchen with all that one could need to cook & enjoy homemade meals. The cabin is fresh, new, not musty (which sometimes cabins are) and fully equipped. My favorite feature was the wrap-around porch which I spent most of my waking hours, day and night, enjoying my coffee, listening to nature all around and of course watching the sunset and the night sky come to life. My experience here was...just WONDERFUL!

Cozy cottage

We stayed here for 2 nights, husband and wife getaway. The fireplace was broken (the owner told us beforehand and said they hoed it would be fixed before we arrived, it wasn’t.) The internet was out as well and there was a burn ban, so no outdoor fire either. Generally clean, but many spiderwebs. Well stocked with all one could need and the snacks and oatmeal packets were quite helpful since we arrived at 1am and had no opportunity to pick up supplies. Very pet friendly with dog bowls for your pup.
