What a beautiful, spacious property, and perfect to host our special needs moms and other adult female caregivers through our non-profit org at A Mother's Rest. Great location too!
The house is amazing! It was huge and accommodated our large group with even more extra space. We enjoyed makings mores in the HUGE fire pit and riding bikes around the property. We would love to go back to this property in the future!
We absolutely loved the house and enjoyed a relaxing time. There were plenty of spaces for conversation allowing each of us to enjoy group activities and quiet time. We will be back!
This was our second stay in this home. The house continues to impress with its comfortableness and beauty, and the hosts are a pleasure to work with. We hope to be back next year!
We LOVED our stay in this home! Even though our weekend didn’t go as planned, we still took advantage of our booking and were not disappointed! What a beautiful space!
We’re a group of friends that get together twice a year and this was our Fall trip. The house has lots of space to spread out! Love the open floor plan with the living room and dining table and kitchen all one big room. The bedrooms are laid out so there’s privacy which is nice! Outdoor area is nice too!
This home was a great option for us and our friends to enjoy a few days in Mentone. With so many options for bedrooms and separate common areas, each family group had places to gather and relax separately and as an entire group. We made good use of the fire pit, enjoyed our walk to Brow Park to soak in the views, and had a memorable and relaxing stay. There were a few maintenance issues that I will share directly with the host so that they can be aware and the issues can be addressed. Would return for another stay in the future.
My group of friends from college travel together twice a year. This was our first time to stay in Mentone. There were 11 of us this trip and this house was perfect. So nicely decorated. Two kitchens, plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms. Two large porches and a wonderful fire pit!
Our hostess was easy to access and quickly responded to our questions.
I would highly recommend this house.
The property is large and roomy. There are plenty of gathering spaces to spread out in. We had a couple of issues, but they did not interfere in our fun and could not be helped. Luckily, because it’s so large, there’s a “backup” for everything!
We stayed here with our kids and grands. The place was roomy with loads of bedrooms, baths and sitting areas. We brought extra chairs but there were plenty. The kitchen area was nice...the burners on the gas stove were a little wild with poofs of fire when started but regulated without too much trouble. Great place to walk, the Brow Park is just down the road for lovely views. We loved the fire pit and had photos taken outside around the yard...the grands sat on the big grizzly bear statue in the side yard! Thank you for letting us stay there.
Without a doubt the positives far outweigh the negative. We came with a party of 16 & the home was beyond spacious. It provides 3 spaces for entertainment & was well stock with complimentary toiletries. The price for the quality could not be beat & the communication was spot on and timely. I think it's important to have realistic expectations as rentals have normal wear and tear. This property being no different. We ran into two problems both were addressed immediately. The air conditioning froze and there was active wood roach activity. Please keep in mind the house is made of wood and is in the woods. While the nooks and crannies werent immaculate the house in general was clean. For that reason only I gave it 4 stars.
My family and I spent Thanksgiving week here and it was wonderful! The pictures online actually make it look smaller than it is. We were pleasantly surprised with the amount of space. We had 14 adults (6 couples and 2 single brothers in their 20s) and 5 children (aged 2-6). We filled the place, but had enough room for everyone. We enjoyed the outdoor spaces of the house as well. We spent a day in Chattanooga, and occasionally ventured out for a park, disc golf, groceries, etc. Mostly we just enjoyed time together in the house. One suggestion would be to bring a folding table, if possible. There's only one table in the house (and a small one we used as a kids table) and it wasn't big enough to fit all of us. Plus, we like to play games and do puzzles, and there wasn't room for that here.
Further breakdown of the bedrooms if you're interested: On the first floor, there are 3 BRs. One with a full-size bed and a private bathroom, one is a large primary bedroom right in the middle of the house with a king and private bathroom, and then there's a large suite with its own wing of the house. Up one staircase, there are 4 BRs. 3 have full beds and 1 has a king. Those 4 bedrooms share 2 bathrooms. Up another staircase was what we called the "cousins room". This is a long room with 1 full-size bed and 4 twins. There are French doors in the middle that you can close to make it more like 2 rooms.
This home is fabulous! The location was good and it was convenient to wherever we wanted to go.It is the perfect getaway for a large family. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely rent again.
The house is decorated beautifully and has so much space. We had a large group but were all very comfortable. Loved the fire pit and porches. It was a great visit!!
We had a perfect stay at High Point! Cannot wait to come back next year with a lot of friends for camp drop off. The check-in and checkout were perfect and simple. Best VRBO experience yet!
This was our second time staying here and will not be our last. It’s a special place to make memories. It’s a very relaxing home and we had everything we needed.
