Bed and breakfast is when you feel at home and that is exactly what I felt. I was treated so well by all the staff. The location is great. Quiet beautiful rooms and location and it was an oasis of peace after a long day sightseeing

Estephani and Aron are such wonderful and attractive staff! The warm welcoming from Aron after hours, the yummy breakfasts prepared by Estephani were super appreciated! Jorge and Sarah were kind and shared a lot of info about the area. I highly recommend staying here!

Staff is very nice and accommodating! Loved staying here, the property is very clean, the breakfast was delicious. The property is located in a good area, the historical sites are a 10-15 min walk (not bad).

We had a very enjoyable stay and would definitely recommend. Breakfast was great, and the owner greeted us and was very warm and friendly. It is in walking distance to several locations most want to visit. We felt safe walking around, no problems at all. If you’re looking for something ultra luxurious this isn’t it but if you want a quaint, clean, zen and inviting experience don’t pass this bed & breakfast up.

Overall our stay was a delightful experience. The lovely garden with the small pool offered a welcomed respite from the intense heat of the day. Our room was great but would have been better had there been a mini fridge.

Casa Del Maya is an excellent choice! The employees are extremely friendly and knowledgeable in regards to the area. They helped us find some of the nicest restaurants to visit around town, and even helped us order a taxi when checking out totally recommended. Not to mention they’re exquisite breakfast; they have amazing, genuine & absolutely delicious Yucatán dishes served hot and ready every morning! I will definitely be returning soon and recommending this hidden gem to others God bless!

My girlfriend and I loved our stay at Casa del Maya! The property grounds are beautiful, with very lovely plants growing all around. Aaron took care of all of our needs and the women in the kitchen cooked us a delicious breakfast each morning. We got to see the owner, George, almost every day and we really enjoyed getting to know him. He really cares about making a special experience. We also took advantage of the sister property around the corner, Oasis, and enjoyed the Balance yoga class and we also got a massage at the spa. (*Note we did not need a room upgrade because we already had one of the best rooms!)

The interior courtyard is lovely, quiet, lots of shady spaces to relax, while still being close to the historic Centro. We had stayed in a conference hotel for a few days prior, and the change of pace to calm and privacy was very welcome, especially as they allowed us to check in early. Breakfast was also tasty, and appreciated small touches, like a basket of sunscreen and buy spray. Some of the possible options associated with the Casa del Maya seemed a bit too new age / woo for my taste, but one can easily ignore those,

We spent ten wonderful days in the oasis known as Casa del Maya. It was our first trip to Yucatan Mexico and the beautiful colonial city of Merida. Upon our arrival, we asked Arun, the manager of the property, for a local guide. He introduced us to Carlos who is bilingual and offers tours. George and Sarah, the owners of Casa del Maya were delightful hosts. It felt like family our entire visit. Arun’s nieces made beautiful breakfasts every morning with local fruit and hearty servings of eggs and chorizo and homemade tortillas. There is absolutely nothing more we could have asked for our stay. We will visit again soon.

Absolutely delightful property for a trip to Mérida! We rented the casita which is a separate space next door to the main Casa Del Maya (where breakfast is served and the other rooms are), the private pool was heavenly and much bigger/deeper than expected. AC worked well, as did the fridge/freezer, so this place provided much sweet relief from the heat and humidity. Was very nice having the kitchen to boil water so we didn't have to buy a ton of bottled water. The upstairs bedroom/bathroom does not have a door between the bedroom and bathroom - not a problem, just good to be aware of. The beds were comfy, service was exceptional, massages (around the block at Casa Oasis) were worth every penny, and breakfast was delicious. Parking is on the street outside the property, nothing officially designated but we never had an issue finding a spot right outside the door. Owners were responsive and very pleasant. The upstairs room is accessed by a metal spiral staircase outside with a lovely view of the whole property. Lots of amazing restaurants, shops, and parks within ~10min walking.

We had already reserved the best room, so they couldn't upgrade us :) Staff were nice and responded to texts but maybe weren't around as much as usual since both the owner and manager had babies due the week we were there! Excellent excuse :) If you ask for what you need, it seems all is possible. For example, I asked to borrow a snorkle mask and waterbottle, and they happened to have some that other guests had left behind. They arranged a massage for me ($50 US) at their other (more upscale) property on a couple of hours notice. We wanted a charming place and we got it! The property is lovely, quiet, decorated beautifully, mellow. They have an honor bar and plenty of bottled water. Nice breakfast, not gourmet but hot and homemade. I did not prefer our shower, a rainshower, bc it was impossible to start it to warm up without getting wet. That's just me. The a/c worked like a charm. Adding some little snacks and upgrading the coffee would be welcome improvements. The location is convenient, about 5 blocks from the main areas. It is not unsafe or dirty, but there are many vacant buildings and the sidewalks are in terrible condition. Not many businesses, and even those few seemed to be closed sun-tues so it felt deserted. We did love the eco-store nearby that sells staples by the ounce, like nuts, granola, shampoo.
