This is definitely an economy hotel. There is an old side and a new side. The new side has been recently updated and you’re able to get AC. There is no heat (this is common in Mexico). It was quite cool during our stay in the evening so they gave us extra blankets (from desk). I would not recommend the old side at all. It’s very dated, carpet bedding mattresses, etc-not good. We asked to move to the new side but that has its issues too. The room we were in - the fan in the bathroom did not work and neither did the TV remote. Anytime a shower was taken the entire bathroom was covered with moisture. If you opened the bathroom door to assist, the entire room felt moist. The mattresses had plastic covers and that does not help with sleeping.
Anytime we interacted with the staff they were wonderful. 10/10 for staff.
This place needs more TLC.
Possibly the best 3-star Hotel you're going to find in such a great location. this was my first stay in Mexico City and I was a little apprehensive about which hotel to book in advance. somehow I landed on this hotel which I consider myself lucky. just be sure to read a few of the reviews so that you can compare it to your normal needs. I stayed at the beginning of August and really didn't need the air conditioning but after reading some of the reviews complaining about the lack of air conditioning I opted to pay the extra fee for a room with air conditioning. my only complaints are the Wi-Fi is a little weak at least it was in my room so I ended up using the city's free Wi-Fi instead which worked fine. The room key kept resetting so I had to get it reprogrammed each day, but I don't know if that was my fault for putting it in my wallet. Perhaps another complaint - just nitpicking would be there aren't any "do not disturb" signs for the doors so you can't tell the maid you're sleeping in without actually speaking to her. I was so focused on exploring the attractions a little ways beyond the hotel that I completely neglected the immediate area until the last day. On my last day, which was a Sunday the monument park across the street turned into a farmers market which was a pleasant surprise. if you're fine with a 3-star Hotel I don't think you can do any better. Of course the finishings are dated but the staff was great and I have no complaints about the location.
Staff were not the most accommodating room had no air conditioning but it’s located in a very good location, close to everything so that maid up for the lack of accommodations.

There was always water on the floor of the bathroom I don’t know where it was coming from part of it may have come from the shower,
