"The home was clean, and tidy when we arrived. Had all the essentials we needed for our stay. I didn't know it came with kitchenware, laundry detergent, shampoo & conditioner, and body soap. There were 2 fishing poles set up. I was amazed. The sunsets were remarkable. Fishing was great. We did come back from an outing and heard a loud noise coming from an outside vent. I texted the hostess and she was quick to respond. Nothing to worry about. A nice neighbor came by to check. It was the attic fan cooling the attic down. There is one minor detail that maybe the owner can replace the mattress in one of the bedrooms. It sinks in the middle. Still sleepable, but a tad uncomfortable. Overall stay, I recommend this place."

"We had a wonderful stay on the York River and would definitely recommend this house! It was clean, spacious, and exactly as described. The well-equipped kitchen, plenty of room to spread out, and three full bathrooms worked perfectly for our group of five adults. The fenced yard was also a huge bonus for our dog.We especially enjoyed the easy access to the river during the hot weather. The two kayaks, one canoe, and variety of life jackets made it easy to get out on the water, and the views from the house are beautiful. Although we didn't use the fire pit, it was a nice amenity to have available.The location was perfect for us, only about 20 minutes to the restaurants and shops in historic Gloucester, around 30 minutes to the Yorktown Battlefield Visitor Center, and less than an hour to Busch Gardens and Colonial Williamsburg.The host was very responsive. We let them know the garbage barrels were full when we arrived and they arranged to have them emptied the very next day, which we really appreciated.The only thing future guests should know is that the house sits high on a hill. The elevation provides spectacular views of the river, but the walk down to the dock and waterfront could be challenging for anyone with mobility concerns.Overall, this was a great property in a peaceful location and we'd gladly stay here again."

"This was a fantastic, comfortable, and clean place to stay. The full kitchen and in-unit washer/dryer made the place feel like a home away from home. Being able to park right in front of the unit was very convenient. Checkin was seamless and the service was excellent. Even though we didn't have time to use most of the amenities (playground, pool, mini golf, etc), as parents with a young kid, we liked having them as an option in case we had some down time. We would absolutely stay here again!"

"The property was in pristine condition. Very spacious with many amenities available in this gated community. Larry, our host, was very accommodating and went the extra mile to welcome us. The property was close to all the things we wanted to do, which included historical areas, and beaches."
