This is an average hotel in a very rural part of Pennsylvania. It's close enough to Penn State to attract visitors. Very outdated but the staff were friendly.

Opened the door and arrived to a musty smell. The bathroom smelled like urine and there was hair balls behind the door. Breakfast was good staff was pleasant

Comfortable and Welcoming

Welcome respite after a long day at the Penn State football game. They accommodated our late check-in. Very friendly staff; comfortable room; nice bathroom. I would suggest more attention to cleanliness regarding vacuuming carpets. It was difficult to see entrance onto the property at night. I would suggest a lit sign at entrance to road. Too easy to miss the turn and end up back on 80 unintentionally.

The staff was wonderful. Friendly and professional. They did their best to accommodate us. The mouse droppings in the ice bucket and the bedbug bites on my stomach, on the other hand, were not something they could really help with. The people were sweet but the building is scary. You would probably be happier choosing differently.

Needs improvement.

Staff was efficient and friendly. Room (2 queens) was disappointing and in dire need of updating. Stains on one comforter, the other bed sounded like banging on a pipe with any movement, and bar to hold toilet paper was actually missing! Housekeeping must have seen this and the stains! Literally all of the hallway doors had paint missing. We stayed here last year, and our room was wonderful, so this experience was a disappointing surprise to us. All that said, staff was great, beds were comfortable, and breakfast was great (and very clean area). Worth giving another try in hopes of improvement.

This property wasn't fancy and the breakfast wasn't as good as Hampton but the people were super nice and helpful, everything was very clean, and the price was very reasonable.
