Great place. Good value for money

We had a super great stay. Especially the food was very very good. As well was the Onsen. It would have been great with a bar or place where we could hang out after dinner

I loved that I had my own onsen. As a tourist I'm not comfortable going to public onsen so this was the best. I loved soaking in the privacy of my own room. This hotel was the best. The staff, the food, and the view! Loved everything about this hotel.

Cosy, clean n beautiful onsen hotel, with good facilities, excellent breakfasts (western n Japanese set). The dinner was excellent, well presentation. The staff was friendly and helpful, going beyond extra miles to assist us in our enquiries and sightseeings. The hotel provides shuttle service at 9:15/10:15 in the morning, 14:55/15:55 in the afternoon.

We went on a one night trip from Tokyo. They have a free ride from Jomokogen Shinkansen station, so it is very easy to get here. The hotel is new and modern. All rooms have an private bath on the balcony with a nice view of the river below. We had the half board option, and I would say it was great value since the dinner was a 6 course menu. Minakami Onsen was a sleepy small town surrounded by mountains. As a tourist it was nice to see the other sife of Japan, not only large cities. Would recommend for a night or two.

Beautiful hotel next to a river

We stayed 2 nights at Aratashi Minakami. The room is exquisitely furnished that comes with private onsen in the balcony. Love it! All the hotel rooms overlook a river and the train track. We can see the trains passing occasionally. The hotel serves breakfast and dinner. The food are beautifully presented but are not as tasty as they look.

Stayed at Aratashi Minakami for 5 nights and it was incredible. The rooms are large and comfy. Spacious enough for 3 double beds and luggage! Our package came with breakfast and dinner and every meal was gourmet level. The private hot tub on the room balcony is a special touch and great for enjoying the sounds and view of the river below while soaking aching muscles after a day of snowboarding. Well down Aratashi Minakami team! I’ll be back again!

Clean, comfortable hotel with Pte bath, indoor n outdoor onsens with good view of the Tone River. The daily breakfast was great, we can order western or Japanese set the day before. Dinner menu was delicious with good choices and nice presentation of the food. Dinner is about 6 courses. This hotel was only opened in Nov 22, well kept with auto checking in and checking out. They provide shuttle bus to station at 9.15/10.15 in the morning and pick up services at Jomokagen station at 14:55/15:55 hours. Overall, v happy to have chosen this hotel. Highly recommended.

残念だった点は夕食時、赤ワインを頼んだ際、プラスチック製のグラスで出てきたこと。これにはせっかくのおいしいディナーをだいなしにするほど興ざめでした。 それ以外は客室整備、清潔さ、フロアの雰囲気、おしゃれな夕食、ぜいたくな朝食、温泉の湯加減、客室露天風呂でお湯があふれると自動的に補充される設備、スタッフの丁寧さなどなどすべて申し分なく、幸せな時を過ごすことができ、誠にありがとうございました。

I was so glad that i booked this hotel. The location is so convenient. We were able to walk from Minakami station the hotel in 15 mins. They offer drop off at Jomo-Kogen station on the check out day. The front desk ladies are super nice and friendly. They did their best help me, answered my questions. Specially Urada (not sure if i spell it correctly)- She looks like a non-Japanese. She always smile when she see us and tried all her best to answer all my questions about food to skin cares. I think she is the one has better English than the others. The manager should give her a raise. The room is so clean and look new. We stayed 2 nights and enjoyed every minute there. The food was good and a lot. We even skipped lunch, because the Japanese style breakfast was a lot. The hotel is close/walking distance to Family Mart and cute small coffee shops, handmade bread store. I tried the massage at the hotel. They come to your room. It was so relaxing. The room view was so nice. We sat outside balcony deep our feet in the tub and enjoyed the yellow/red leaves and listen to the water run
