Smell

The condo was really nice and clean, but there was a fishy smell when you walked in. Also the screen on the balcony was broken. But we really enjoyed our stay.

Unexpected guest while vacationing

We have stayed at Edgewater several times over 20 years. The condo had been updated and smelled and looked really clean when we arrived. We checked in on Sat and by Wed, I had killed 5 water bugs and one of them was over 2 inches long and only on the floor and along the hallway / bathroom wall , I was really concerned they would get in our things and bring them back home with us. I kept things up off the floor and swept constantly until we left on Saturday. I contacted the managing staff and they contacted me and asked for pictures, which I didnt have because I was more concerned about killing them at the time, but I guess I should have so they would know what to treat them with before the next guest and they said they would do after we checked out on Sat. Only communicated with the staff via text, no one came to the unit after I called the Vacasa staff. The weather brought in a lot of rain and we read the unit had some previous water damages which may be a contributor to the bugs as well but as I have read they won’t go away on their own and I feel the owners should be aware before it gets out of hand. The condo was very nice and when we book a condo, I expect the same comfort as my home, and I don’t have bugs so please take care of the situation for the next visitors. We will probably stay at Edgewater again, and believe this was just a one off situation because we haven’t encountered anything like this in the 21 years we have been coming to the Destin area.

We really love Edgewater Beach. The views of the gulf are great and you walk right out to the beach. The condo unit was really nice and very clean.

Great place but some things to think about.

Some rooms come with 2 beach chairs and umbrella depending on who you rent through. They are set up and taken down each day.

Beautiful view and condo

We only got to stay for 2 nights, but it was a beautiful condo - perfect view of the beach! Everything was tidy and clean and the beds were comfortable! No problems whatsoever!

Awesome!!!

We loved the condo! Place was super clean! With Covid-19 we have been wiping places we stay with Clorox wipes. After wiping surfaces Clorox wipes were clean with no traces of dirt. We also liked the gated community and parking garage. Every condo has ocean view. This was our first time to the gulf side but definitely not our last! Only complaint we have was that we were told when renting that our unit came with two beach chairs and an umbrella to use which was not true per the lifeguards that manage the beach chairs. Definitely recommend renting the kayaks and paddle boards! We had a blast at Edgewater!!! Will definitely stay again!

Great view

Great location but there is a leak in unit which I did call and let Vacasa know. I’d prefer the owner to please call me directly because I don’t feel the management company is taking care of there beautiful place. Thank you

Emerald Coast Beauty

This property was great. Everything looked very clean when we arrived. It was easy to check in and get started on vacation. Having never been to Miramar Beach, my friends and I were stunned by the crystal clear water. It was beautiful! There were so many restaurants and shops nearby, and the grocery store was right across the street. The pools and beach were a very short walk from the condo. The only thing that was different from other beaches we have been to is that you couldn’t place your own chairs and towels in front of the circles of resort chairs. Chair rental was about $38 per day for 2 chairs and 1 umbrella.

2020 stay

Property was great. Very poor communication with rental manager. We did not receive a garage parking pass as instructed in email. Upon arrival, after being on hold for 1 hour, I was told I also needed pool passes (which was not in the room as previously informed) someone would contact Edgewater and we should receive pool passes and a garage pass within an hour. They promised we would get a credit for the pool if we did not receive pool passes. We did not receive pool passes until the following day after 3 pm. we were not able to utilize the pool for 2 days. We never received garage parking pass. I messaged multiple times regarding beach service, I was never messaged back. The edgewater employees were very nice...However this condo rental company communication is terrible. I would book directly from edgewater in future. I have yet to hear from Vacasa rentals...

Last minute mini vacation

Booked this condo last minute. Booking was fast and easy without any issues. Property is in a good location, appearance was not the greatest but the condo itself was good and had what we needed. Pool and beach access was easy, make sure your stay comes with complimentary chair and umbrella rental it will help big time. Condo had an key card but it didn't work. Overall our stay was good!

Nice but in need of updates

Very cozy condo with nice bathrooms and layout. The outside table and chairs were very rusty and dirty. This was disappointing since our favorite thing to do is sit outside and listen to the ocean. Also, our typical VRBO stay has some amenities that we did not find and had to purchase when we arrived. (Tide for washing machine, Kleenex, dish soap). We were also told we would have access to the beach if we arrived early knowing check in was not until 4 however were told upon arrival that we could not use the beach as it was private so ended up having to pay to check in early. Over all we had an amazing time but with all of the available options to stay in Destin we would choose a nicer place next year.

We enjoyed this unit. It was clean and all the TV's and appliances were in good working order. The employees at Sterling Resorts answered any questions we had in a timely manner. All parking and pool passes were present when we arrived. In other words, our vacation went off without a hitch and I would recommend this unit to anyonel
