"I don’t know how a hotel on a beach has one single bathroom hook for all towels, including hand towels and swim suits, etc. No balcony to hang dry towels and swim suits either. Rooms and bathroom are small. Beds have mattress pads so I’m guessing the mattresses are old, they weren’t super uncomfortable, but weren’t particularly comfortable either. Valet system was a little glitchy-one time I couldn’t request my car because someone never checked the button it was returned. People hyped this hotel up, so maybe my expectations were high, but I was overall disappointed. This is excluding that the property was under construction at the time, which I was aware of prior to going. The staff were a highlight and were super friendly and accommodating. "

"There was no coffee pot or complimentary waters in the room. They only offer overpriced specialty coffees in their café next to the check in/out desk. Also not a great setup having to go around the corner or through a dental parking lot to get there from pool side. Very minimal parking. There were construction workers painting 2 of our 3 days there, last day they covered my vehicle in plastic without permission. They did so while the vehicle was still wet with dew. Once the sun was out and it got hot outside, the plastic stuck to my vehicle and peeled a bunch of my clear coat off. No one did absolutely anything about it. I was never notified by the hotel that there were going to he painters whatsoever, to move my vehicle or asking if they could touch it to put said plastic on it. I never received a call, text, note in my room or on my room door nor a message through Expedia who I booked it through. Hotel manager was out of town at the time of the incident and offered zero help except for a free 1 night stay if I'm ever in the area again. No discount from my current stay and even acted like he didn't believe me at first stating "he never heard of that". The construction manager or owner stated he was going to contact the plastic company and rain X as to why this happened. Offered a buff and polish job, but that won't bring back missing clear coat. My vehicle is ruined, because of lack of communication on both the hotel and said construction crew. Also, tables in the room were "

"Very cute updated 60’s-vibe motel. Perfect for our short stay in the Jacksonville beach area. We checked in on our own, with no problems. (Clear instructions emailed the day before.) The room Was clean, amenities nice, comfortable bed with lots of pillows. We did not have housekeeping, but technically really didn’t need. There was a coffee shop on premises, which is apparently popular with local runners after their beach run, and because our room was upfront across from the shop, we had about 10-20 chatty people milling around right outside our door at 7 am. Parking was tight… but overall everything was really just as expected… as I had also read the previous reviews. There was lots of shops and conveniences near by, the beach was a 7-10 minute walk. I would definitely stay again… ! "

"Enjoyed our stay in this delightful cottage! Though small, it was very cozy and charming. Easiest way of finding it is to look for the white fence next door. Easy access to Jax and Amelia Island. Use the ferry (7) to save time to Amelia Island. Would definitely stay there again!"

"This is a beautiful and clean hotel. We wished we could have stayed longer. Great staff and the rooms were very clean and the bed was comfortable. They even had a laundry room that we could use. I will be looking for TownePlace Suites from now on."
