Thiessow is a former fishing village on the southeastern headland of the island of Rügen. After passing a narrow strip of land between the Zickersee and the Baltic Sea, the peace-seeking vacationer finds a true idyll. The village with beautiful holiday homes is grouped around the Lotsenberg, which invites to romantic walks. From its lookout tower offers at any time of the day a fantastic panoramic view, which invites to small hikes to the Bodden, the west beach and the cliffs of Klein Zicker. In addition to the long stretched east beach with textiles, dogs and nudist area can be found after a short walk in the forest a natural beach on the south side and the west beach, where very good water sports facilities with a boat rental and a surf school. Our holiday apartment "Sturmböe", completed in May 2017, is only approx. 100 m away from the sea, after that you can enjoy the endless white sandy beach or use the cycle and hiking path on your doorstep. Various restaurants and a small supermarket with a bakery are in the immediate vicinity and are within easy walking distance. The well-known Rügen market (May-October) with its regional products can be found in the harbor of the seaside resort Thiessow. For cozy evenings there is a barbecue area behind the house.
